New "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" Story Details Revealed

New "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" Story Details RevealedSubmit Comment
We already know that there are plenty of villains in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," but it's not known how all of them fit into the movie. Meanwhile, new information is coming out about Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and Mary-Jane Watson (Shailene Woodley).

SPOILERS AHEAD:

According to MTV, Woodley has already finished shooting all her Mary-Jane scenes and has moved on to another project. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is far from finished and Woodley actually got on set just a few days ago. This obviously indicates that her role will be a small one. And since it was previously rumored that Gwen Stacy (Stone) will die in the film, Mary-Jane will likely step in as the lead female character in the third installment.

Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal ahs learned that the sequel will shoot scenes at the dorms of Columbia University. Since the film's plot synopsis hints that Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) will graduate from high school, it's possible that we may see his transition to college. Or it's possible that Peter just goes to visit a Gwen or Mary-Jane.

Ray Liotta does rock by the way. You people are right (for once?). Just watched Narc and the f*cker deserved an award for his role, more than some other jack off who phones in their performance but bares an ass and some tits and then gets to host the Academy Awards.
Sleuth1989 writes:

You know I watch every young actor and I'm starting to see a common theme here. They are all these super spoiled kids who wanted to be actors for reasons like it was fun or they wanted to make lots of money or they had nothing better to do. I seriously have found like maybe two or three actors under the age of 25 I have respect for. Seriously what happened to those actors who would scrap by broke for years and then finally earned their way and because of all that hard living they actually could show damn emotion every once and awhile. The usual form of acting is method acting in which you use your own experiences and emotions to fuel your character's experiences and emotions. Hard to do that when you haven't experienced anything am I right? Now maybe she is alright. I haven't seen "The Descendents" yet but pretty much every Clooney movie seems to be the most overrated pieces of crap I've ever seen so I don't see the point. Either way all this frikkin' young actors are all the same to me. I also find it so ironic that Sony wanted this f*cking reboot so bad and it barely sold anything compared to other films. Like seriously this movie, with inflation, barely sold compared to the other films. I don't know if I can take another one. I mean come one, Jamie Foxx as Electro. Good actor but one of the worst miscasts I've ever seen. And what's this I hear about Paul Giamatti being Rhino and Kevin Spacey being Green Goblin?! I suppose the second one MIGHT work but these actors still seem too old or, in Giamatti's case, out of shape to play these physically dominant characters.

Yeah paragraph breaks are a must, trust me.

And before you think I'm being a d*ck, some folks told me the very same thing, on another website many many moons ago.

That's where I learned to break my thoughts up to make them more easily digested for potential readers.
Sleuth1989 writes:

It's weird dude. I usually do. I have a blog also. Paragraph breaks and all. Spelling, structure, and I manage to do most of these posts in like 30 minutes tops. And they are LONG posts. LOL

@Deaft0ne: no, Sleuth is spot on. I am a d*ck. Wish I weren't but it's how I cope, because otherwise, like I said, I'd be dead (the crowd goes wild!) or in prison. I've come very close to both.

lol @ what else you said though. Word.

@Sleuth. lol. f*ck this movie. Sick of the updates, sick of hearing about it. The original Raimi films are fine. The third is preposterous but the other two are far better than what we're getting now. But I did hate Dunst. She just wasn't nearly sexy enough for Mary Jane. The Sally Field of her generation.

Let's face it, folks, Spiderman was rebooted because the original cast was just too old and Raimi's take not hip enough. They rebooted it to tie into Marvel's groove and give the entire damned thing some Twilight vogue appeal. And even though the first TASM didn't make me sh*t a canary, I'm already tired of looking at this silly movie and it's white trash emosexual Down Syndrome cast.

I'm telling ya', Stephanie Meyer is the worst thing to have ever happened to cinema. I hope she slow roasts on a rusty spit in hell for eternity.
Sleuth1989 writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:47:15 PM

@mink
Like I said most young actors are empty souled rich kids. And that translates into this: Emo for normal talking and over-dramatic sociopath for getting excited or showing rougher emotions. Now this be fine...if it wasn't in EVERY f*cking movie.
Deaft0ne writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:48:55 PM

@mink

Lol it's cool. I don't think you're a d*ck. We can agree to disagree on the whole issue of The Rock because I know there is another conversation to be had.

Also, am I delusional or did the CGI for The Lizard in TASM 1 look VERY half-assed and unfinished?
Ip_man writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:48:56 PM

could we go back talking about ray liotta? or anything but the f*cking spidervagina man?
minkowski writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:52:56 PM

@Sleuth: yep. Agreed. And every time you say empty-souled rich kid I think of Jennifer Lawrence.

There's such a huge chasm between the old actors who put in a hard day's work and appreciated the opportunity to act for a living, and the virtual royalty who see it as their divine right to have everyone worship them, which is why in the past I've expressed deep disdain for celebrities as anything more than ordinary but highly privileged people, and this new batch of spoiled c*nts only reinforces that feeling.
Sleuth1989 writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:55:14 PM

@Deaft0ne
Everything CGI-related in this film was half-assed. It doesn't help they rushed into production. Seriously like 5 days after Raimi was dropped Webb was hired. Sony just wanted to make some money off the franchise.

@mink
If it makes you feel better on this, most people who are critical considered "*ssholes" today are what used to be called "people with standards". So you are a brutal critic from one side...or a frikkin' smart dude from another.
minkowski writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 3:57:09 PM

Deaft0ne: I get what you were saying about The Rock. He's the closest thing to Arnie, and I agree, but only so far in that if I were the last living person on earth, I'd be the closest thing to Clint Eastwood.

Or in other words, The Rock is what he is with respect to Arnie because there is no other Arnie, and there are no other real action hero actors these days. Which is really sad.

"Also, am I delusional or did the CGI for The Lizard in TASM 1 look VERY half-assed and unfinished?"

Nope. Not delusional. Looked like sh*t. And I spend a ridiculous amount of time looking at sh*t made on a computer.

Speaking of lizards, Ray Liotta is really under-appreciated in my opinion. He has that creepy look down perfectly, and like I said earlier, he blew it out of the park in Narc. Boom!
minkowski writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 4:01:01 PM

@Sleuth: thanks dude, but there's plenty of people on here with brains, and you and they know who you and they are, they, these other people, just choose to often not exercise them.

Kind of the way the internet makes people lazier, and it's also seen as uncool to be "smart", or informed, which sucks because everyone operates on this lowest common denominator mode all the time just to be part of the group.

Human psychology frequently frustrates me something awful.
minkowski writes:

+ but...

It is the year 2013. The treacherous Alex-o-trons refuse to install a goddamned edit button. But, from secret staging grounds on several of WP's thread, the valiant Post-o-bots plan to fight back with additional comments.
Deaft0ne writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 4:11:17 PM

@mink

Yeah I feel as if Dwayne Johnson is trying to actively emulate the film career of Arnie quite a bit, it would make sense.

But he has yet to have a The Terminator 1 or 2 or a Conan The Barbarian or Total Recall.

But I think him being in The Expendables 3 is most likely a foregone conclusion because it signals a passing of the torch. Lionsgate and Sly clearly want to continue the franchise and Sly is nearly 70 and while i'd expect to see Statham and Crews and Lundgren remain part of it I think Sly would do more overarching cameo appearances if it goes to 6 movies. A female version included.

Just my 2 pence.
Sleuth1989 writes:

@mink
Dude you just called Jennifer Lawrence an idiot...and for that you are now my best friend. EVERYONE else loves this airhead. She talks like she belongs on Jersey Shore and her acting is sub-par at best. She has no understanding of character development and has managed to get two Oscar nominations off playing the same stubborn bitch of a human being. It's so sad that this girl openly admits it and I have to give it to her that was genius to talk crap about herself so people thought she was humble but I swear she has probably thrown back acting and human emotion in general for the next 30+ years.
Anyway yeah this unfortunately what film is becoming and it makes me sick. What happened to th days of actors balling their eyes out in pain and suffering on camera? To the days of people acting with purpose in every film they did? These young brats stand for sh*t and therefore every performance they do if crappy.
By giving Lawrence that Oscar they have lowered people's standards of human depth. Seriously even the 9 year old she was up against was better than her but Lawrence had one hell of a publicist and unfortunately that is how it goes now. You promote yourself well enough and talk all tough and that's all you need and that is sad.

@Deaft0ne
Paragraph breaks just for you man. LOL
Deaft0ne writes:

minkowski writes:

@Deaft0ne: He did his paragraph breaks in notepad, methinks, but WP's silly formatting didn't carry them over. I also suspect Sleuth is using IE, because Firefox let's you resize the comment window. Just a guess. Probably wrong.
minkowski writes:

@Deaft0ne: Gina Carano would be good for EX3, maybe having her play The Rock's wife or something. A harder, brawnier version of Mr and Mrs Smith, for hire. Or something.

minkowski writes:
on March 16th, 2013 at 4:56:16 PM

@Sleuth: tits, man, tits. Has to be the only reason Lawrence even has a career, and I have to wonder: has their EVER been a flat-chested woman, besides Tilda Swinton, to work Hollywood, and even Swinton plays only male-ish, cold robotic roles because she would never carry a film as the sex appeal, although she did try with that one flick, what was it...Possible Worlds, which wasn't a Hollywood film.

Anyway, but yeah, I agree with what you said re Lawrence.
minkowski writes:

Is it more of Statham fighting while taking off his clothes, a la Transporter 3? Should have got a hotter girl for that film btw.

One can only hope people figure it out once they see other movies. Course they already do. I remember after Lawrence won nobody was really talking about her. It was all about Affleck and Lewis with stuff about Ang Lee. Side note, Affleck's acceptance speech was frikkin' awesome. Total appreciation for his predecessors with that nod to Spielberg and the love for his wife. That was a class act speech if I've ever seen one. And no I use Chrome and I just typed it here in the comments page and indented the paragraphs and everything but the stupid thing erased them. Same thing happens on my frikkin' blog. Oh and no on there being many busty women in Hollywood. KNow why? Because the women who weren't focused on their looks focused on their acting. Hence why Lawrence stinks. Too pretty to be intelligent as well. This is how I pictured her wanting to act:

"Mommy, daddy I want to go to Hollywood and be an actress even though I didn't study acting or anything of the sort. I just want everyone to like me!"

"Okay princess but you need to do well in school"

From there she either slept with every teacher or took the easiest sh*t possible to get that rumored 3.9 GPA. FYI I took all AP courses in junior and senior year of high school and got a 3.9 so I am not impressed one but.

Anyway my story continues:

"Mommy, Daddy I passed now can I get an agent that costs 3 to 5 grand a month to hire."

"Sure princess and we'll pay for your NY apartment even though you have never worked a day in your f*cking useless life except at that campy your Mom owns, but I am sure everyone will love you for being so beautiful."

"Thanks Mommy and Daddy for letting me do whatever I want without discipline or understanding of being a decent human being. I'm going to walk over everyone and talk bad about people I get nominated against at the Oscars who are ten times the actress I will ever be."

That all being said, Lawrence will disappear the minute she is forced to play a different character and will fail. So I will bide my time, enjoy anything that good actors do, and laugh my ass off when she finally does something so f*cking stupid and horrible people finally wake and realize, 'Oh sh*t, this girl is a terrible actress and a bit of a bitch." That is me having minimal hope for people's intelligence. That's all I can give.

@mink

"Nope. Not delusional. Looked like sh*t. And I spend a ridiculous amount of time looking at sh*t made on a computer"

Same here. SPI did a great job with digital environments, but it seems like they can't make a fully CGI character to save their lives (save for, eh Spider-Man and Doc Oc is SP2 - that train sequence still holds up. And digital Spidey in burnng building in SM 1).

@sleuth

"By giving Lawrence that Oscar they have lowered people's standards of human depth. Seriously even the 9 year old she was up against was better than her but Lawrence had one hell of a publicist and unfortunately that is how it goes now"

That's Harvey Weinstein for you. f*cker knows how to sell - whoring out to the media, lush pre-Oscar parties - he knows it unlike any other. The Artist got Best Picture. And... Shakespeare in Love. Never forget.

"That all being said, Lawrence will disappear the minute she is forced to play a different character and will fail."

Wouldn't count on it. She's here for a long time. She's not exactly talentless, young and marketable. And obviously has a great agent. Nope, she's here to stay.

Kurskij writes:

Always had problems with Rhythm&Hues (they always felt like a retarded step-brother to ILM and WETA and even Tippet Studio with their digital characters - their Hulk was worse than ILM's, their Aslan was superior to Weta's) but they f*cking killed it with Life of Pi's tiger.

Does anyone remember Dream Quest Images (Armageddon, Mighty Joe Young etc.) - was a mighty good VFX house before someone (Disney?) bought them and killed them.

We will have to see man. I've seen actresses twice as good as her disappear into the oblivion. And by the way, young ain't forever. If she can transcend that then yeah she'll stick around but otherwise all she has is young and sexy. She is okay at best as an actress though, not talentless, but she has no flow in her performances. She either is super emo or loud. Anyone can cry and yell man. It's about having more than that. And notice how she can't get a role with anyone but Bradley Cooper. Do you see anyone lining up to star with her? Nope. Just Cooper and that is not saying much. And besides that what, she has Hunger Games which is the only role she is maybe decent at because the character is her...arrogant and talks to everyone like she is the sh*t. And finally X-men...basically they needed a hot chick to play the role and they got it, plus Matthew Vaughn is kind of am arrogant bastard so of course bastards and bitches need to stick together. Dude, like her, has no respect for the industry or rather the good ones int eh industry. He just badmouths people like she does.

^^I don't hate JL, Bando, but like Sleuth said, she sort of radiates an interminable sense of self-entitlement; but for people her age, that's pretty much the norm.

Jennifer Lawrence one an Oscar? For f*cking what? Honestly, Last night I was at my buddies place and everyone watching that absolute sh*t feat of a movie 'The house at the end of the street' and after 30 minutes I seriously wanted to poke my f*cking eyes out

Whomever made that movie, should get an award for having the most inconsitencys in a movie ever. Like in one perticular scene, She's running away from this guy in his house, She Gets a hammer, Breaks a window and escapes into like the basement. Right?

Then LEAVES the f*cking hammer on the ground. I hate everything... LOL Stupidist movie I've ever watched lmao, not to mention the dude gets shot 3 times, Not one, not two, but THREE f*cking times, and LIVES and is show in a asylum after.

f*ck that movie, f*ck that director, and f*ck her.

End rant, f*ckers! LOL
