About a year ago, Sony Pictures hired stuntman Michael Gaboff (known as "Crazy Mike") to perform a motorcycle stunt for the promotion of the "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" DVD release.
The plan was to light Gaboff on fire and have him jump over a lake on a motorcycle. But the stuntman jumped too far and actually ended up jumping completely over the lake and landing on the ground. The crash resulted in a broken back, pelvis, neck, both arms, ribs, collar bone, and collapsed lungs. And since he never fell into the water, he remained on fire, which also left him with second-degree burns.
Gaboff is now suing Sony, claiming that the studio knew that the stunt was dangerous but chose not to take specific safety measures. He refused to reveal the amount of money he is suing for, but said that his medical costs added up to $1 million.
"Ghost Rider 2" producers say that "[Gaboff was hired] as an independent third party and was fully responsible for the design and execution of the stunt. Any claims to the contrary are false."
"Gaboff is now suing Sony, claiming that the studio knew that the stunt was dangerous" ... EXCUSE ME? Which part of this stunt sounded safe to you ace? That's why its a STUNT and not "sh*t any normal person could do."
I doubt this will get anywhere. People have to sign massive liability agreements if they want to do the most minor things these days. So to think Sony wouldn't have had this guy sign anything is a little hard to imagine.
Too bad this dumb sh*t didn't kill himself in the jump. He signed a waiver. No one had a gun to his head. He took the gig for the pay-day. Now he's getting greedy. Typical c*nt.

Force = mass x acceleration.
If the imbecile riding the bike couldn't roughly guesstimate the parabolic arc that would've carried him safely into the water and not the f*cking land, then he's better off dead than still alive and scientifically illiterate.

Oh. He's still alive. What a f*cking shame.

The Amateur Monster Movie (an indie horror movie made on no budget and distributed for FREE)
The greatly idiotic Walter Romero takes on an island with a stupid number of zombies and a freaking werewolf (what!?), just so he can "avenge" his boy scout buddy, and does so by getting this chick, Ashley, stoned, with noted pothead Johnny Mason. Meanwhile, the inane, foul-mouthed local police and government clumsily march everyone towards death in this comedy send-up to classic b-horror movies!

Benedict: I wonder if you could help me?
Mechanic: Sure, what do ya need?
[benedict shoots him. He listens for a while, looks at his wristwatch, then shouts]
Benedict: Hello? I've just shot somebody, I did it on purpose.
[listens some more, still nothing]
Benedict: I said, I have just murdered a man, and I wish to confess!
[listens some more, someone tells him, "Hey, shut up, down there!". He looks pleased]
