"Sinister" Sequel is Moving Forward

"Sinister" Sequel is Moving ForwardSubmit Comment
Ethan Hawke's "Sinister" horror film hit theaters in 2012 and went on to gross $78 million on a $3 million budget. Blumhouse Production has now decided to move forward with a sequel in hopes of building a franchise, similar to the company's "Paranormal Activity" and "Insidious."

Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, who wrote the original, are all expected to return. And Derrickson is in final negotiations to once again direct. Casting details are being kept a secret.

The original "Sinister" starred Hawke as a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a supernatural nightmare.

No, no, no, no. It's better as a single film. If they make a second film, the genuine feeling of the first film will be sh*t on.

I didn't expect much when this film came out, suprised me how much I enjoyed it.

I think a sequel really isn't needed, it'll just take a sh*t over the original.

Why can nothing be a stand-alone these days?

Unfortunately Hawke is not going to be in the next one, obviously!

Ethan Hawke is no Ryan Phillipe.

i think Sinister had potential. but as soon as i saw the demon all humanized in like pants and boots i was like wtf is this. it wouldave been creepier to keep him in the cloak. not a bad movie overall though.

Sinister sucked ass. One of 2012's most overrated movies. And one more thing - Mr. Boogie reminded me too much of Mick in Slipknot so he wasn't really scary.
I demand a reboot!! XD

its was a total pile of sh*t, so overrated, i should of known better as it was made from them goons who done Insidious which was another pile of dogsh*t, if anyone actually enjoyed this film, their opinions about any future films should be void, and be banned form this site.
