James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart Don't Share Scenes in "X-Men: Days of Future Past"

James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart DonSubmit Comment
Ever since 20th Century Fox announced that the title of its "X-Men: First Class" sequel will be called "X-Men: Days of Future Past," fans immediately knew that time-travel would be involved and that some of the actors from the original "X-Men" trilogy may be brought back.

Then Bryan Singer, who directed the first two "X-Men" film, was hired to direct "Days of Future Past," and he instantly go to work signing Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and a bunch of other actors from the first trilogy.

But it turns out that Stewart and James McAvoy, who both played Professor X, will never actually meet in the new movie. "I don't think we get any scenes together, sadly," McAvoy told Empire magazine. "I don't think there's any future self talking to past self."

Then what's the point of being "Days of the Future Past"?? That's what everyone wants to see! Or that could be McAvoy's excuse because he's afraid he'll have to shave his head and be completely bald.

Maybe they will explain why McAvoy puts his finger on his head but Stewart does not. Never got that. What is he pushing a button on his brain or is he just trying to look cool?

The hand thing was always odd to me too. I just figured he was not as experienced so it was some sort of technique to help him focus or something

At least have both Magnetos encounter each other.

Why can't Professor X use his amazing mental powers to talk with his past self?

And isn't there a mutant with the ability to direct his past selves telepathically, like a Butterfly Effect Man or something? Or PKD's The Golden Man?

Anyway, all I have to say is, please, PLEASE just reboot then entire thing. Every little bit of new news just makes my head hurt contemplating the Byzantine mess FOX has made out of what was always a very straightforward and enjoyable comic book series.

Being able to consciously jump into my past self would be THE BEST POWER EVER!
But i would be of no help because I'd be revisiting past BJs

My old self would hate regaining conscious to find out he just got blown and missed it
