The Oscars are set to air later today, and one of the films nominated in the Foreign Language category is "Kon-Tiki" from Norway. Today, we have a new trailer for the movie. Watch it below.
Plot: The story of legendary explorer Thor Heyerdal's epic 4,300 miles crossing of the Pacific on a wood raft in 1947, in an effort prove it was possible for South Americans to settle in Polynesia in pre-Columbian times.
"Kon-Tiki," which is set to hit theaters on April 19th, is based on a 1950 documentary by the same name, which was directed by Thor Heyerdal himself and went on to win an Oscar for Best Documentary.

Ive seen the movie being from Norway myself. Its kind of good, but don,t deserve an Oscar. But for a estimated $16,600,000, budget, they sure made it look expensive.

Interesting story of one of history's last modern global explorers, but Heyerdahl's Euro-transpermian theories, which were always somewhat racist, were proven to be entirely wrong thanks to mitochondrial DNA testing.
