Channing Tatum May Replace Brad Pitt in David Fincher's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" Remake

Channing Tatum May Replace Brad Pitt in David FincherSubmit Comment
David Fincher has been planning to direct a remake of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." Disney is fully committed to the film and is making a deal with Australia to begin shooting there. The goal has been to go into production this summer, but that's not going to happen.

Brad Pitt was initially attached to star in the film, but eventually dropped out. Fincher is now looking for his replacement and is considering a number of actors, including Channing Tatum. Unfortunately, none of them are available until next year.

Fincher will likely put "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" on hold and will instead make "Gone Girl" or "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" sequel. The big question, however, is whether he'll still be interested in the project when he becomes available again.

What is it about this guy? He use to be a male stripper. Does he go into auditions and strip for the directors? Are they swayed by his crotch-grinding in their face? What the f*ck is so appealing about this sh*thead? He makes Brad Pitt look like the most accomplished actor that's ever lived. Hollywood is f*cking regressing. Twenty years from now the leading men in films will be played by people with Downs Syndrome.

Good one, guys.

Channing Tatum is a awful actor.

The only reason why he still has a career is because The Vow and 21 Jump Street were sucesses.

The Vow was a real-life love story drama and 21 Jump Street was a movie based on 80's classic show.

I mean after that little sh*t destroy
G.I Joe, I thought he wouldn't make a another movie again.

This sh*t is dead and it was dead the day I heard about it ten years ago. Let it go already. Some things are just doomed from the get go, like Bullitt's so-called simulacrum of life.

Why not make new movies with new ideas. Quit with the crappy unecessary remakes

No, everything is real Minky. Sorry to disappoint you.

Damn. And here I was hoping, for YOUR miserable sake, your lack of character and intellect was a fantasy. Sucks for you. Oh well. But hey, new news. There's always death, f*cker.

Its a shame this movie is having so many problems getting going, I think this story combined with Fincher's vision could produce a pretty remarkable movie.

The way it seems things are going, it's never going to happen, though.
