"Night at the Museum 3" Gets a Release Date, Ben Stiller Set to ReturnPosted: February 8th, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
20th Century Fox has now confirmed that it is moving forward with a third installment in the "Night at the Museum" franchise and has set a release date of December 25th, 2014. Both Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy are set to return.
The first movie was released in 2006 and followed Larry Daley (Stiller) as he discovers that the exhibits at New York's Museum of Natural History come to life at night. The film went on to gross $574 million worldwide.
The sequel, "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" hit theaters in 2009 and focused on the Washington, DC museum. The film grossed $413 million on a budget of $150 million. No word where the third installment will take place.

With each passing year Stiller looks more and more like a small shaved monkey.

Good call, Tommy can play one of the apes with battle scarred faces along with Edward James Olmos and Ray Liotta. Maggie Gyllenhall as the (not-so) sexy ape.

The new museum will have a "Legends of Porn" exhibit. Stiller must then contain a sex-starved John Holmes as he terrorizes all the rhesus monkeys with his footlong.

Well you can't argue against making another one if they are still making that much money.

These are largely kids and family movies, people; Stiller's a joke with everyone else. An unfunny joke, much like his "professional" comedy schtick.

I agree with Vincero
Not to mention the inevitable 3rd entry to make it a 'trilogy' was bound to happen eventually

Let's just hope they don't do a Night at the Museum/Hangover crossover, because I just might have to shoot someone in the face.

Now that I really think about it. This might be stillers most successful movie/movies. Except for maybe meet the parents this is a relative gold mine for him these days. Plus if they keep having enough clout to bring in people like amy adams and robin williams as supporting characters then why not right? Plus idk what it is, but seeing a minature owen wilson do battle is f*cking hilarious to me.
