"Warm Bodies" Wins Box Office Weekend, Sylvester Stallone's "Bullet to the Head" BombsPosted: February 3rd, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
It seems that Summit Entertainment bounced back pretty quickly after ending the "Twilight" franchise, because the studio's "Warm Bodies" film took first place at the domestic box office by grossing $20 million. Out of all audiences, 60% were female and 65% were under the age of 25. Unlike "Twilight," "Warm Bodies" has an impressive 77% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.
"It was a perfect storm," said Summit. "The material was unique. We made a conscious decision to sell this as a romantic comedy, versus as a zombie pic, and it paid off. Our marketing was amazing."
Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone's "Bullet to the Head" action film," which has a 46% fresh rating, had to settle for a disappointing sixth place with $4.5 million. This is another disaster for films starring older action stars, since over 80% of their audiences tend to be over 25 years of age. Arnold Schwarzenegger "The Last Stand" also recently underperformed.

Well, I guess it was a good move by Ahnold and Sly to shoot 'The Tomb' film before both their flops were released. Unfortunately both their careers seems to be headed there. One last hurrah I suppose.
This is why Lennox Lewis retired a champion in boxing. Quit while you're at the top with dignity, not at the bottom.

If Sly or Arnie would take a supporting role in film, they would probably have greater success. Theie egos are too big to let them do anything other than be the star of a film. They would be great in a comedy, something maybe like Jack Palance in City Slickers. Or f*cking Tarantino could write them a great part in one of his ensemble pieces. Nobody wants to see them anymore as the centerpieces of a film.

It's over for Sylvester and Arnold. People just don't want to watch that kind of sh*t anymore. Actions stars who had their heyday well before much of today's audience was even born? No way. The Twilight and Justin Bieber Generation rule. Get used to it folks.
And Disney, you had better sex up Star Wars 7 with some hot new GLEE "talent" if you want to box in more than just the hard core Star Wars fans.
I'm pretty much done with "modern"..."film".

Simply like that can't be describe..... Arnie, Sly, Bruce and any other old action film star trying to make a comeback, time to retire and aged like heroes than crashing all the time like ugly mother f*cker bastards in the B.O., think it over, just saying before is too late!!!!!!
