  The 19th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards took place on Sunday night, with "Argo" being the big winner, taking home the award for Best Cast. The film has now won a Best Picture Golden Globe and Best Picture PGA award.
"Lincoln," which has twelve Oscar nominations, won for Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis) and Best Supporting Actor (Tommy Lee Jones). And not surprisingly, Anne Hathaway won for "Les Miserables."
On the television side, "30 Rock" won two awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series (Alec Baldwin) and Best Actress in a Comedy Series (Tina Fey). "Modern Family" took home the award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, marking the series' third consecutive SAG honor.

I haven't seen Argo, but from what I've read, it's standard Hollywood agitprop. No wonder it's sweeping awards, other than being, from what I can tell, a very well made movie.
