Lindsay Lohan's "The Canyons" Also Rejected by SXSW Film Festival

We recently reported on the kind of nightmare director Paul Schrader (Auto Focus) had to endure working with Lindsay Lohan on "The Canyons." But now that the film is finished, there is a new nightmare to deal with. Nobody wants it.

The initial goal was to get the movie into the Sundance Film Festival, but Sundance rejected it. Now comes word that SXSW has also rejected the film, stating that it has significant "quality issues" and that "it's got an ugliness and a deadness to it."

The surprising part is that Steven Soderbergh, the Oscar-winning director behind "Ocean's Eleven" and "Traffic," offered to take three days of his time to edit the "The Canyons." But Schrader turned him down, stating that he doesn't want another director touching his work.

"...it's got an ugliness and a deadness to it."

An apt description of Lohan's vagina and soul.

Apparently "Ms. I can get away with anything" is starting to get rejected by everybody. Maybe now she will just fade away from my reading pleasures

Reminds me of "Medellín" in the show Entourage, Director is also the problem.

Obnoxious film festivals. Sure the flick is probably dreadful but that doesn't mean these festivals aren't full of sh*t.

'...stating that he doesn't want another director touching his work.' --- it was a real offer to fix your move f*ck-head, not to touch your junk.

Definitely didn't see this one coming, since EVERYTHING that Lindsay Lohan has been attached to has been utter genius and pure gold. Yes, it's sarcasm.

Soderbergh offer your help and you just rejected with chances of entering to a festival, shame on you, Schrader!
