FilmDistrict has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming "Olympus Has Fallen" action thriller, starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott, Ashley Judd, Melissa Leo and Rick Yune. Check it out below.
Plot: White House (Secret Service Code: "Olympus") is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, while disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning's inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President, and avert an even bigger disaster.
The new movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) and is set to hit theaters on March 22nd.
The one liners are forced trailer-wise. They're covering up typical cliche bs with a new, clever setting. There's always an ex-specialmarineastronautmongulairseal, rough around the edges who holds the collective best interest in his hands between his gun & his grip. The terrorist will try too hard to be new. The mistrusting outside allies will do something stupid in order to have their way.
Surprisingly doesn't look terrible. Looks like some old school 80s action cheese (predictably spoiled by too-obvious CGI) but nonetheless should be at the very least a fun movie to get drunk to. Just wish they would stop making Gerard Butler struggle through an American accent. And how many times has Morgan Freeman player the president of a country now?

Like anyone here would willingly choose to watch a Taters film.
Oops, I'm sorry. That's not in line with my new positive attitude.
More like: Taters is a fresh and upcoming (snicker) actor with a bright cinematic future ahead of him.

So Die Hard and Air Force One scripts fell on the floor and mixed pages. "Yawn" Did I just miss something?

Looks interesting! Nice to see BUtler in an action again - rather than all the bullsh*t chickflicks he's been in lately. I love Aron Eckhart in these kinds of roles. This should be entertaining.

God this looks so much better than that Tatum/Foxx movie. Very call of duty meets early 90s actioner feel to it. Nice to see Butler finally choosing the right material again. Only thing that can ruin this is a p*ssy pg-13 rating.
