Stephenie Meyer Says "Twilight" Theme Park Will Never Happen

Stephenie Meyer Says "Twilight" Theme Park Will Never HappenSubmit Comment
Now that the "Twilight" franchise has come to an end and Lionsgate has yet to announce whether there are potential plans for continuing it, fans are desperate need of more Edward, Bella and Jacob.

MTV caught up with "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer at Sundance to discuss her upcoming "Austenland" film, in which a woman obsessed with Jane Austen travels to a resort where everyone pretends to be living in the 19th century.

Meyer said that if Austenland existed, she would love to vacation there. So MTV asked if there's a chance of a Twilight-land, which is something fans have been hoping will one day happen. "It would be so boring," she said. "Would you have to go to high school for it? That's not a vacation. Sounds awful. I don't want to go back to high school."

Meyer went on to joke about some potential rides. "I guess you could have a mechanical vampire that you ride piggyback," she said of the spider monkey scene (pictured). "That would be a liability issue, I think. You could fall right off."

If they want a twilight theme park, they can just go to a gay strip club. Itís pretty much the same, perhaps a little less glitter.

Kurskij

The Mechanic forgot he directed that movie with Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent (and His Mullet) better than the remake from a couple of years back.

Can't believe i've never seen Hannibal Brooks with Oliver Reed and the equally brilliant John Alderton, Shame on me ......

Is it Chocolate MLK day again already?!

Wh-hoo!!

As for this... let's give Stephanie credit for keeping it real and knowing the (reasonable) limits of her Twilight product. I'm sure she's the first one to admit her books are bubble-gum sh*t for the dreamy, creamy teens. But she's make an oil tanker of ca$h from it. And she knows... really, that a Twilight park would suck. Good on her. I want to f*ck her now.

Austenland is hardly Meyer's film, she has nothing to do with project other than she's a producer which means she gave of money to it. It was a book written by someone with no connection to Meyer and was developed independent of her sh*tty vision. I haven't seen the film, but calling it Meyer's film gives it an unfair chance in the minds of people who rightfully despise her work.
Rocksteddy writes:

What the f*ck? When did this retarded idea get sprouted around?!

Anyway, this can't be worse than Disneyworld. Nothing but a bunch of pedos in character outfits.

@tt

It's alright. Not "Kelly's Heroes" (personal favorite), but fun nonetheless. Michael Pollard was a welcome presence too.

Didn't mind Statham's "Mechanic" it looked good for the money, and there was decent chemistry between Statham and Foster, but the story wasn't there. The original is far better, though I loathed JM Vincents mullet.
