Universal Pictures has unveiled the first TV Spot for Tom Cruise's upcoming "Oblivion" film, which co-stars Olga Kurylenko and Melissa Leo. It's directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron Legacy) and is set to hit theaters on April 12th.
Plot: Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack's mission is nearly complete.
Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
Minority Report is my favorite Spielberg film of the last 20 years. Really brilliant flick!

Cruise movies are guaranteed entertainment plain and simple. I can't remember the last film he made that wasn't decent? Anyone?

^ Rock Of Ages (he was the best thing in that movie though)
Outside of that it was Far and Away for me and that was 21 years ago !

Rambo
It does seem that the MI films work best at the boxoffice for Tom, But as SAC already said he's Guaranteed Entertainment and there aren't many left in Hollywood that can still deliver that IMO

Still looks good.
Better than Smith's "After Earth".
Plus Cruise's "Reacher" will pass $200 WW. soon, so this'll do alright.

I hope it does well, not because I care about Cruise or the film, but because I think Kosinski has a lot of talent that could use further development. Which of course means it'll fail hard.
