Green Goblin to Appear in "The Amazing Spider-Man" Sequel?

Green Goblin to Appear in "The Amazing Spider-Man" Sequel?Submit Comment
Last month it was revealed that "Chronicle" star Dane DeHaan was cast as Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel. In Sam Raimi's trilogy and in the comic books, the character is Peter Parker's best friend who eventually replaces his father as the Green Goblin.

Since "The Amazing Spider-Man" was a reboot, it was expected that DeHaan would first be Peter's friend before turning into the villain. In fact, DeHaan recently said that his character's social life will be explored in the sequel, revealing that he'll be involved in a love triangle.

But during the premiere of his "Darlings" movie at Sundance, director John Krokidas introduced DeHaan as "the Green Goblin," possibly accidentally revealing that Harry Osborn will become the Green Goblin in the second installment.

If Krokidas wouldve introduced Dehaan as Harry Osbourne everybody wouldve been like,"nigga who?nigga what?"

So he said Green Goblin instead

It's too soon for another goblin. They need to save that for part 4.

Spider-man for hipster generation. They had Franco last time, what did you expect?

The "Goblins" were the most irritating characters in the original trilogy why bring it back to this one?
Janus writes:

He was just teasing. There will most likely be no Green Goblin in the sequel.
minkowski writes:

Betteridge's Law of Headlines. The obvious answer is no.

And the....dude? Is that Robin from the Dark Knight Returns?

Anyway, like anyone gives a sh*t about Harry's social life and Pearl Harbor type love triangle. Just another tired Hollywood cliche, the love triangle. Why not a love square instead? Or a love dodecahedron?

Unimaginative wimps. Read some geometry.

Cheers pornfly, been busy at work lately but thanks to snow in England had a few days to relax and see whats happening here. Apparently I've missed an online coronation. Did Mink have to slay a few trolls to get the crown I don't see many of them about either...

All he did was use one of the characters vilain names. Something everyone already knows the character will eventually become. Does not mean he will be green goblin in the next one at all. That's like introducing me to a pizza but teling me its called "your sh*t". We all know a lot of food we eat eventually turns into sh*t and bombed out. But does not mean its immediate. I wanna enjoy my food, and when it wants out it wants out naturally.

@mink na this guys looks like he shouod be inviting sigourney weaver to a party in his apartment. Because this guy is a dead ringer for a early 80's rick moranis. If they do reboot ghostbusters for a new generation this guy should play his spawn
minkowski writes:
on January 20th, 2013 at 6:21:05 PM

@Vincere: Yep. But no one will ever own nerdiness like Rick Moranis.
CelluloidMan writes:

At Mink:

What? No love for Robert Carradine's REVENGE OF THE NERDS' lovable Lewis Skolnik?

Much love for the first 2(f*ck the third)...
minkowski writes:
on January 20th, 2013 at 7:10:00 PM

Skolnick made a very good nerd, but it was a little put on. Pocket protector, the overbite and the ugly taped glasses. All stereotypical nerdiness, especially for the time, but Moranis, now there was an absolutely NATURAL nerd. I mean, no put on. You could dress him like Bruce Wayne and he'd still be hardcore nerd.

Now, if you had said Curtis Amrstrong, aka Booger, aka Charles da Mar, aka Snot, THEN you and I might be on the same level. lol.
Rocksteddy writes:

Spider-man 3 was better than this sh*tty-ass reboot.
CelluloidMan writes:

LOL..."True that, double true!!"
vincere01 writes:

@mink. I still laugh uncontroallably everytime ghostbusters is on and I see one of his awkward encounters with dana in the hallway. I dare anyone to watch that sh*t and not fall over. K had it for a ringtone for awhile and got laughs everywhere I went. Classic. It was the bit about her tv being loud and so he turned his on real loud too lol
