Steven Spielberg Says "Robopocalypse" is NOT Dead, Just Delayed

Steven Spielberg Says "Robopocalypse" is NOT Dead, Just DelayedSubmit Comment
After years of development, Steven Spielberg was set to begin filming his "Robopocalypse" sci-fi film later this month, but decided to abandon the project at the last second.

The director has now revealed that he is still planning to make the movie, but only after the script is completely re-written. "We found that the film was costing a lot of money," explained Spielberg. "And I found a better way to tell the story more economically but also much more personally. I'm starting on a new script and we'll have this movie back on its feet soon."

He went on to say that the delay will likely be six to eight months. While he won't be able to make the original April 25th, 2014 release date, he think that "Robopocalypse" may end up in theaters around October of 2014.

Based on the Daniel H. Wilson novel, "Robopocalypse" is about the human race's attempt to survive an apocalyptic robot uprising. It's rumored cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Anne Hathaway and Ben Wishaw.

This article is pointless and a waste of space. Anyone with a f*cking brain already knew it wasn't dead.

Fassbender should play Archos the rogue A.I. robot/main antagonist. But make sure to take off that stupid ass plastic bubble boy head first.

Clever, Alex, clever. Make News A into something it isn't, and then make News B, the correction and clarification to News A, a separate article.

October for a Spielberg sci-fi adventure? Not likely. This one will either set for Christmas or pushed back further for summer of 2015.

Me too, Badchad. Just a kid then. The world not only seemed different, it was. But that could be the old man in me, waiting to be born, talking.

@Cannon: I would agree with you, about the release dates, but Stevie seems to be complaining about getting money for the project. He either wants big, big money and the studios won't commit, or they're trying to sell him a smaller film, one that may or may not fir the summer or holiday window.

'it's not dead it's just delayed'...its like saying to your girlfrined 'it's not over,we're just taking a time out' and we all know what that means.
