"Carrie" Remake Delayed Seven Month, Plus New PosterSubmit Comment
Sony Pictures just unveiled a new poster for the upcoming "Carrie" remake, showing that the film will hit theaters on March 15th. But right after, the studio announced that the movie has been pushed back to October 18th. It's not clear why Sony decided to delay the film, but it's likely to release it closer to Halloween. Check out the poster below.

Plot: The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Julianne Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Chloe Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Judy Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday), but only Chris' best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde), regrets their actions.

In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

Makes more sense to release the film around Halloween

Or maybe they just want to add some Channing Tatum scenes

Boogiel beat me to it...

At least for the poster, she could have stuffed her bra...a little.

Just saying....

The push back hasn't got anything to do with her killing a bunch of school kids in the film??

Didn't think so...

This movie has been made 3 damn times. There is absolutely nothing new they could possibly add, and people will still flock to see it.

Uh, well, let's see. A film where a chick goes crazy and kills a bunch of school kids probably isn't the best film to debut just a few months after Newtown, and even if not, why think it would do well in March anyway?

Cover your ass Hollywood. It's what you do best.

This isn't news.
People actually give a sh*t for news.
I don't see one person giving a fat flying sh*t about this film, I hope it goes straight to DVD.
