You know, ck it, man. I want this movie to succeed, I want it to have a good story, great visuals and a whole lotta fun entertainment piece.

For f*cks sake, that I'm beginning to read first William Hope Hodgson The Night Land, damnit!

Part two will have Jada and Willow
Part three will be The Smiths: Lost in Space with Tyler Perry as Dr. Smith and Michael Winslow as Robbie the Robot

Probably a smart move to reschedule the Cruise vehicle Oblivion from July to April. They look very similar...

the concept these days behind those posters is same old same old.Make somebody stand in middle of a rubble with fire and fume all around, not to mention the guy gives us the ass while he stands. And there you go, you have yourself an official poster.

M. Nighy Shyamalan working with Will Smith?

And I always thought Smith was a smart guy, being accepted to MIT after high school and all...

What made Smith go with Shyamalan anyway? In HWood you're as good as your last project...it just doesn't make sense business wise. Wonder what he knows that we don't?

What Smith should be doing, I think, is pairing up with other great actors/ comedians to mix it up & get back to his blockbuster days....E. Murphy did it that way. You work with talented, funny people to help you carry the movie.

Take NORBIT, the movie is not really all that, even though Murphy does 3 characters....but putting in Terry Crews, Eddie Griffin, Katt Williams, Marlon Wayans & even Cuba Goiding, Jr as the straight man, the movie came out funnier than I ever expect it, I gotta admit.

Anyways let see what Shymalan can bring to the table...redemption time!

Still no Shyamalan's name, clever Hollywood

@celluloid

Smith is at the stage when he thinks he's invincible. He is smart - I think it'll be a relatively good movie that'll reboot Night as possible director for hire (with possibility of occasional auteur works), cement the status of Jaden and bad another $400 mil. movie for Will.

He can take a fall at this point if it flops - he has a perfect record (with even 7 pounds making money). If it does - it'll be a soft flop that everyone will blame on Night - and Will will still have surefire hit in Hanc*ck 2. There is no alternative to Will Smith - and he knows it.

Looks like Independence Day 2, from the perspective of Africa.

And is is just me, or does that burning destroyed ship look like it's hovering over the treeline?

Once again, terrible, lazy Photoshop.

"1000 years ago, we left for a reason"

Yeah to get away from M Night's films.

@thelazybum: yup.

Poster reminds me of the end of Star Trek Generations. Weren't they standing on the hull of the destroyed Enterprise on some primeval planet too?

Anyway, I'd get excited for this perhaps if not for two things: Will and his son are starring, and the director.
