Live-Action "Gaiking" Film AnnouncedSubmit Comment
Valhalla Entertainment ("The Walking Dead") has announced that it is developing a live-action film based on the anime property "Gaiking." Toei Animation ("Dragon Ball"), which is the rights-holder, is also onboard.

"Gaiking" follows a young man who is recruited to serve as the lead pilot for the Super Robot Gaiking. When Earth is threatened by an alien race intent on taking over the planet, he emerges as the only one who can pilot the massive robot. Together with his fellow co-pilots he must fight off the alien force in order to save mankind.

"'Gaiking' has long been one of the most beloved giant robot animation franchises with a global fan base," said Toei Animation. "We are very excited to be partnering with Valhalla Entertainment to bring this title to a worldwide audience as a live-action feature film."

Check out the previously-released CGI test scene for the film below.

He needs to be in space or go on a diet if he plans on existing on this planet

His horns are compensating for something

And yes, he does look like Unicron. Damned if he doesn't also resemble Tranzor Z/MazinKaiser.
