It was recently reported that Warner Bros is considering bringing Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play Batman in the "Justice League of America" movie, only he wouldn't play Bruce Wayne, but John Blake, his character from "The Dark Knight Rises."
Since Christopher Nolan produced "Man of Steel" and director Zack Snyder previously said that the movie will tie into "Justice League," Movieline asked Nolan if Gordon-Levitt or any other actor will show up as Batman in "Man of Steel."
"I can't talk about that," he said. "You know that." While Nolan is usually secretive about his projects, many are assuming the director didn't reply with a "No" because he doesn't want to ruin the surprise. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, Hitfix says that several of its sources have confirmed that Gordon-Levitt will indeed play Batman in "Justice League" and possibly have a cameo in "Man of Steel."

As sad as "aping" Marvel is, DC really doesn't have much choice. The after credit scene thing is almost a comic book movie signature now regardless of the company. It's a throwback to the old serial films that gave you a sort of preview of what's to come in the next.
DC has such an uphill battle ahead of them with Marvel firmly entrenched in the genre. And unfortunately, the dark and gritty path DC is choosing doesn't endear itself to the mainstream audience. Folks aren't checking out comic book movies for realism. They want to see the impossible jump from page to screen. I don't real world applications of superheroes because superheroes aren't real.
