Johnny Depp Making His Own "Don Quixote" Film

Johnny Depp Making His Own "Don Quixote" FilmSubmit Comment
Johnny Depp previously teamed with director Terry Gilliam (Twelve Monkeys) for "Who Killed Don Quixote," a movie which began filming in 2000. Unfortunately, the production ran into problems when it was hit by a flood and one of the main actors was forced to drop out due to an injury.

The movie ended up getting shut down before Gilliam could finish shooting it. Despite efforts to get production back on track, the helmer was forced to scrap it and use the footage in a 2002 documentary "Lost in La Mancha," about how the project fell apart.

In recent years, Gilliam has been talking about making a new version of "Who Killed Don Quixote" and has been in talks with Ewan McGregor to replace Depp.

But now comes word that Disney has picked up the rights to a pitch by Depp for his own "Don Quixote" film. The script will be written by Steve Pink (High Fidelity) and Jeff Morris. Gilliam is not in talks to direct.

That is one boring project. Every single film I saw was slow as f*ck and lame. This is not fo a movie material. And Depp isn't a garantee that it will work either.

I remember there was Don Quixote with Lithgow and Hoskins. I liked it as I remember. But it was a long time ago.
