Jon Favreau and David Fincher in Talks for "Star Wars: Episode 7"?

Jon Favreau and David Fincher in Talks for "Star Wars: Episode 7"?Submit Comment
Actor Jason Flemyng recently revealed that Matthew Vaughn is in talks to direct "Star Wars: Episode 7." But Deadline has now learned that Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) are also being considered.

Favreau has spoken very highly of the franchises and the difficulties he believes a director will have with the seventh installment. And unlikely other helmers, he never denied wanting to take the job. In fact, Deadline says that he is actively pursuing it. Meanwhile, Disney sees many benefits in bringing on Fincher, who was actually an assistant camera man on "Return of the Jedi."

Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) is currently writing the script for "Episode 7," which will hit theaters during the summer of 2015.

These rumor posts are getting out of f*cking control. It's to the point where I'd actually prefer reading about Lindsay Lohan.

No, no, didn't you people hear the news? Matthew Vaughn is directing Star Wars. It's all over the internet so it must be true, right?

I don't think Fincher would be interested---not enough anal rape involved.

hahaha! Cress, U know he's been working on a Disney movie for awhile now right?

Fincher will so take this job if it means funds for his Goon movie.

Ugh...all of this rumor about star wars is driving me nuts. Hell, why not recommend kevin james or Night shyt-amalan to direct star wars.

I don't know, David Fincher always has like 200 projects on his plate at any one time.

Favreau wouldn't be a surprise though.
