James Cameron attended the New Zealand premiere of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," where he revealed that he's working on the scripts for the second and third "Avatar" films with plans of completing them by February and then starting shooting both films together at the end of 2013.
"I want to get these scripts nailed down, I don't want to be writing the movie in post production," he said. "We kind of did that on the first picture, I ended up cutting out a lot of scenes and I don't want to do that again."
Cameron also mentioned that he hopes the 48 frame-rate of "The Hobbit" will be accepted by movie-goers. "If there is acceptance of 48 (FPS), then that will pave the way for Avatar [sequels] to take advantage of it," he explained.
