Kathryn Bigelow Wants to Make "Zero Dark Thirty" PrequelPosted: November 26th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
When Kathryn Bigelow and her "Hurt Locker" writer Mark Boal first announced that they were working on an Osama Bin Laden film, the plan was to tell a story about the pursuit of the Al-Qaeda leader in Tora Bora in 2001.
But then President Obama revealed that an operation was conducted in Pakistan that resulted in the death of Bin Laden. Bigelow and Boal quickly decided to set aside their finished script and start over on a new Bin Laden movie, which became "Zero Dark Thirty."
Now in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bigelow and Boal said they are considering revisiting their original script at some point to make a "Zero Dark Thirty" prequel. "Nobody likes to throw out two years of work," added Boal.

Since it won't involve the actuall killing of Bin Laden, what the hell could it possibly be about, besides more scenes of "government intelligence"? -- people standing around in rooms, talking, looking at satellite photos etc. Yeah, sounds like a real thrill ride.
Hows about a prequel to Point Break? Johnny Utah: The Early Years

^^This guy really has some serious issues. Probably the only gay guy with a Yin Yang dildo.
Anyway. Great. Just great. The news that is. A prequel. A prequel to a film no one is sure will even make it's budget back, and you can be assured if no one cares about Obama's death, I mean Osama's (easy to get them confused: they're both dark-skinned foreigners who want to to destroy America) they don't care about the failed attempt to capture him way back in 2001.
Have to wonder though. Did Osama think, way back then, he'd die the way he did? Bet that f*cker thought he'd live another twenty years on rice, curry, shawarma and Price is Right re-runs.
9-11 that, camelf*cker.

Just read that the character center of this film, which should depict military men killing a terrorist and the events leading up to said killing, is a woman.
Yep. There goes my ticket.

We know the military leadership who were at Tora Bora. I also know the actor who leaked an original script and story to Bigelow and Boal upon which they base their silly
"prequel". They shamelessly continue to take credit (as they did with The Hurt Locker) for other people's work. Two years? The script that was jacked (which is entering production) was copyrighted with the Library of Congress in 2004. Seriously, they shouldn't think they're above the Law.
