Zachary Quinto May Not Return as Spock in "Star Trek 3"

Zachary Quinto May Not Return as Spock in "Star Trek 3"Submit Comment
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zachary Quinto spoke about his hesitation to play a serial killer in "American Horror Story" TV series after playing a killer on NBC's "Heroes." Eventually he spotted enough differences in the characters to take the job, but is now ready to "go in a different direction" with his career.

Part of that "different direction" may be to step away from the "Star Trek" franchise. "It's like an era of association with certain roles - a specific part like Spock, or a part, like Sylar (from 'Heroes') ó is coming to an end," he explained.

The entire main cast of "Star Trek" signed on for two sequels, which means that Quinto would have to return for a third film if he's needed. But it looks like the actor is ready to move away from his Spock role, which is why it wouldn't be a complete shock if the character doesn't survive "Star Trek Into Darkness."

No loss here, The first one was horrible anyways. It's just a music video full of lights, motion and lens flare complete with plot holes and loose ends.

The Spock character doesn't fare well, does he? The first one died in Star Trek 2, this one may not make it past the second sequel either, although in this case, Quinto didn't do three years on television beforehand.

Never liked this guy. Strikes me as a totally spoiled candyass homo. Sounds like he thinks he might be too good for Star Trek. Never saw Nimoy bitching, did you? No, he was probably glad to have a job.

Quinto should realize where his bread is buttered, and I'm not referring to the sloppy sauce dudes spread on his Carlsbad Cavern ass.

Different generation I guess, different work ethic. Too much entitlement. Too much Generation Me.

Anyway, I never saw this Star Trek iteration going far anyway. Little demand for it, and with the new Star Wars coming out, I don't see that demand increasing. First one was kind of a one-shot anyway. People still in love with Abrams' Skittles colored cinema pastiche. Not sure that's still the case.

Fact is, Star Trek's original hype was born of the dreams of John Kennedy, and the moon shot, and the hopes of a nation, and the world, and the future of mankind in space.

That and trumping the Soviets.

I just don't see this yester-year Baby Boomer idealistic dream resonating with the popcorn-smacking, cell-phone worshiping gimme gimme gimme idiots that make Hollywood the bulk of it's money, so, adios Quinto. Not like you were that f*cking important anyway.

He's holding out for $'s.

Walking away from one of the greatest characters in Hollywood history. This diva, greedy, bitch is an ungrateful c*nt.

Get his by a truck Quinto. Then I'll take a sh*t on your grave you spoiled f*ck.

He's had the role for four f*cking years and now he's tired of it? Give me a f*cking break. You knew what you signed up for dipsh*t---a potentially long running film series for you. Look, Zachary, the Rockettes aren't hiring, so put that pipe dream back in your
boyfriends butthole, and get back to
chasing Klingons around the galaxy.
Don't make me explain things, you
retarded actor.

Wait, the actor's gay, or they made Spock gay in the last Star Trek movie? Which is it, or is it both? What are you people talking about? Because if Quinto's gonna still be in the next two Star Trek movies then I really don't wanna see Spock pleasuring himself by sticking a tribble up his ass.
vincere01 writes:

The way I see it Quinto isn't all that great of an actor or very charismatic. On top of that he came out recently....unless you are NPH that alone can kill a career. I say wait the idiot out. In a few years when no one is calling him for roles anymore he will be singing a different tune. Probably one based off a showtune. He will continue until the studio says stop. Then do conventions for the rest of his life. Spock as a role does not require great acting. So lets just see what happens with t

He's probably just making an early play for more money.

Either way, Spock dying was already a part of three Star Trek movies. They should do something else.
