"Asteroids" Movie and Tim BurtonSubmit Comment
Universal Pictures has been working on an "Asteroids" movie for a while. And now comes word that project, based on the popular 1970s Atari video game, has signed on a new writer, Jez Butterworth (Fair Game, The Last Legion).

Meanwhile, Warner Bros just hired Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class) to write the script for "Pinocchio," a live-action movie that has Tim Burton in talks to direct and Robert Downey Jr in talks to play Geppetto.

"Pushing Daisies" creator Bryan Fuller wrote the original script. Downey provided some notes that Goldman will include in her version in hopes of getting the actor to officially sign on.

Of course, who could forget the deeply emotionally resonating multi layered story of the Atari game? Its perfectly suited for a film adaptation. Perhaps it will sweep the awards season for best screenplay and best actor.

I thought Guillermo Del Toro was co-directing or just producing his own Pinnochio movie too?

Both of these movies will be sh*t and Tim Burton is running out of quirky sh*t to remake. Dark Shadows was just embarassing. I heard Burton also wants to reboot The Addams Family as well with Depp as Gomez.

GTFO!

"Dark Shadows was just embarassing"

And boring as f*ck too.

Tim Burton still believes that he lives in the nineties. I don't think he can bring something new or even being original but no he keeps doing his gothic crap. f*ck him.

You honestly think that Burton will do a dark remake of a childhood story with Johnny? Robert is kidding himself, Johnny has the job already. Captain Jack Sparrow as a puppet maker?

Tim Burton needs to f*cking die already and take his Gothic monotony to Hell with him.
