Photo: New "RoboCop" Suit Spotted on Set

Photo: New "RoboCop" Suit Spotted on SetSubmit Comment
When "RoboCop" first went into production, the script for the remake leaked online, revealing that RoboCop will have several suits in the new film. Then set photos started pouring, showing Joel Kinnaman ("The Killing") the same rubber outfit. The response to the suit was so negative that the studio moved the film from its lucrative Summer release to February of 2014, the worst time for movies.

Today we have a different photo of the RoboCop suit, showing something that's much more robotic and capable of combat. And it turns out that this is what RoboCop will be wearing throughout the majority of the film. Check out a shot of the new suit, in addition to the old one, below.

"RoboCop" is directed by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) and co-stars Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Jay Baruchel, Abbie Cornish, and Jackie Earle Haley. It's set to hit theaters on February 7th, 2014.

Removed at the request of the studio.

This is old f*cking news...Who cares about Robocop in 2012? Dead in the water...

I'm starting to feel more faith they'll make this work in post, although one wonders how the first was able to accomplish what it did without a heap of CGI.
Ranger writes:

I think mink... the first went full out, balls to the wall. It was so B-movie... it's gone classic. Can't say that about any of the sequels or that pathetic TV show.
minkowski writes:

The TV show. Good god. That makes the Blade series look like a Showtime original.

And the third Robosh*t, christ, did they just have a kid hold the toys up to the camera while the black guy from Police Academy did the sound effects?

No? Well, they should have.

The 3rd Robo... lol. f*ck me. Remember the wires you could EASILY see when he strapped on that jet-pack?! Painful.

And the TV show. He could never shoot anyone. So he'd shoot out a chandelier to fall on someone (like that's better?), or the legs out of a huge, antique piece of furniture to fall on someone. Unbelievable sh*t.

Ranger -

Couldn't agree more. B-Movie turned classic. It's not going to be better than the original but I'll definitely give it a shot.

Is Keaton the bad guy?
