Four Actresses and Five Actors in Talks for "Transformers 4"

Four Actresses and Five Actors in Talks for "Transformers 4"Submit Comment
Before any official announcement for "Transformers 4" was made it was rumored that Mark Wahlberg was in talks to star and that the story would center around a high-school girl and her boyfriend, a racecar driver. It turned out that both rumors were accurate.

Wahlberg is already on board and Michael Bay has now started the search for the other two leads. Testing for the role of the high school girl, who is actually the daughter of Wahlberg's character, are Isabelle Cornish (sister of Abbie Cornish), Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender), Margaret Quallay (daughther of Andie Macdowell) and Gabriella Wilde (Carrie).

Testing for the role of the boyfriend are Luke Grimes (Taken 2), Landon Liboiron ("Terra Nova"), Brenton Thwaites ("Blue Lagoon: The Awakening"), Jack Reynor (The Delivery Man), and Hunter Parrish ("Weeds").

Whoever is hired will have to sign contracts for three films, which means that Paramount Pictures is planning an entirely new "Transformers" trilogy. "Transformers 4" begins filming in the Spring of 2013.

Great! That means more dumbass unlikable teenagers being the main focus of the "story" instead of the title characters.

Like anyone gives a sh*t who they cast for the human characters, as if the humans are in there for anything other than an organic connect to the robots. Cast corpses and have that black guy animate them by shoving his sh*t hand up their asses for all the audience cares.

The real question: who the f*ck wants to see another lead 'bot besides Optimus Prime?

@ boogiel you said exactly my first thought upon reading this...when it's a live action transformers, i expect to see truth to its source material, i mean i still watch beast wars for crying out loud...if some of you out there never watched beast wars transformers, watch it and i swear you will be satisfied storyline wise with its references and flashbacks of the original transformers series, hell you even see ravage as that cat robot transform into a cassette...although i wished they would have showed the original transformers alive and conversating with the new age ones...would have been cool to see, but it had enough fantasy in it to make you dream...i was never really a transformers fan of the old show but

when i saw that i was open minded and it took me by surprise...i mean in transformers 3 when that blue electric beam flies out of the earth, it only looked like bay had seen beast wars and decided to steal its awesome views of crazy sh*t that fans didn't get enough of...which was more transformers and less teenagers

this is off topic, was reading the starship troopers/total remake artcile...i think a prequel for starship troopers would be good...it could be about ratjack's character when he's younger and less of mess than the sequels...love how they do introductory things in films like in lord of the rings, fellowship was great at introducing the shire and all other cool stuff...or how back to the future part 2 showed the future, well some of it...i want a pitbull

Orphans should not be making movies that are based on kids cartoons/comics/toys.

Bays childhood was f*cked off
So now hes returning the favor as a screw you to the universe.
Hes one smelting accident away from being a super villain

"As a boy, he attached some firecrackers to a toy train and filmed the ensuing fiery disaster with his mother's 8mm camera. The fire department was called and he was grounded."

So, after all, Whalberg is not the main guy, isn't ?
Dreamcast writes:

People go to Transformers movies for the actors in the same way people go to Twilight movies for the acting.

Does a 2 1/2 hour toy commercial need actors? Or writers? Or four slightly-different versions?
