Universal Pictures recently unveiled a poster for the theatrical 3D re-release of "Jurassic Park." And today we have the official trailer that highlights some of the 3D aspects of the film. Check it out below. The converted version will hit theaters on on April 5th, 2013, which will mark the 20th anniversary of the classic film, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Richard Attenborough. "Jurassic Park" hit theaters during the summer of 1993 and went on to gross $915 million globally on a $63 million budget.

I still find it hard to believe it's been almost 20 years. That's insane!
The nostalgia is inevitable.
Also, it's surprising that, even today, the special effects still look convincing.
This film was pure entertainment and I'd love to see it again in a theatre.

If there's one good thing to say about the 3D for this movie, is that is should translate nicely, more than most realize, due to the visual style that Spielberg implemented during the original filming: that is, the wide-lens, deep focus photography that already emphasizes depth perception on its own. Therefore, stereoscoping should come as a natural extension.
But, I agree, itís still not needed.

Kind of necessary when half your shots, including establishing shots, are near-panoramic vista shots of grazing apatosauruses and their ilk.
