Harrison Ford's "Air Force One" Character Voted Best Fictional US President

While millions of people voted for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in the Presidential election, The Credits website asked its users to vote for the best fictional President.

Harrison Ford's President Marshall character in "Air Force One" took first place with 23% of the votes. Taking second place was Morgan Freeman as President Beck in "Deep Impact" with 19%. And Bill Pullman's President Whitmore from "Independence Day" landed in third with 9%.

There were plenty of female candidates to choose from, but they all landed in last spots. They were Chery Jones from "24," Geena Davis from "Commander in Chief" and Mary McDonnell from "Battlestar Galactica."

The website also asked readers about which Hollywood actor would make the best President. Denzel Washington took first place, followed by Morgan Freeman, and a then a two-way tie for third between Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford. Washington was heavily favored by women, while most of Mitt Romney supporters voted for Eastwood and Ford.

Bill Pullman was in "Independence Day"?

"two-way tie for third between Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford"

That's just wrong.

"Washington was heavily favored by women"

Thankfully women aren't allowed to vote.

I'd personally like Freemen, and Denzel would also fit as one.

I liked Michael Douglas in The American President. Surprised he wasn't mentioned.

Me too. He was the first (Douglas) I thought of after Ford.

Pullmans speech in Independence Day made me gag.

Kevin Kline in 'Dave'.

(evil Republican 'Bob' makes an appearance, naturally, played by Nosferatu-looking Frank Langella)

"All the best ones get assassinated."

That explains why Reagan was shot, Bush appeared in a very realistic assassination movie, and why Clinton and Obama are still very much old and alive. Unfortunately.

president keeler from season 4 of 24 was quite good...too bad his plane got shot
