Harrison Ford Wants to Return for "Star Wars: Episode 7"

Harrison Ford Wants to Return for "Star Wars: Episode 7"Submit Comment
While making "Star Wars" as a 35-year-old man, Harrison Ford never believed that the movie would take off and become such a massive hit. Later in his career, the actor often reflected on his "Star Wars" experiences, stating that he never found his Han Solo character very interesting, even revealing that he wanted Han to die.

Now that Disney acquired the franchise and is planning a new trilogy, sources close to the production tell Entertainment Weekly that Ford is surprisingly very interested in returning. And so are Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

"Star Wars: Episode 7" is already set to hit theaters during the summer of 2015. But before Ford agrees to return, he first wants to see a script and make sure that a director is in place.

We know that George Lucas wrote an outline for the new movie and Disney has been meeting with writers to turn the outline into a script. Regarding a director, a recent rumor states that Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) has already signed on.

Ford just wants to make sure there are no Carrie Fisher love scenes

She can play Jabba Jr.

Dont get me wrong,Id still bang that Fisher but only if Im watchn Jedi and Somewhere Under the Rainbow

Hes Han Solo he shot first, i think honestly all 3 should be brought back in some capacity i mean they did make the franchise what it is today. Yea you can argue the semantics of lucas being the mind behind it, but without them, there was no star wars.

So the old fart's club wants some more money like Ford is dire need for some cash to fill up the tank of his plane.

Whatever.

If he still fits the role, Then i'd rather he be in it than be replaced by someone like Sam Worthington or something.

I watched Hollywood Homicide the other night !

Harrison Ford was in it and thought it was a Doc*mentary about his past 20 years in Hollywood.

I think Nathan Fillion would make a great Han Solo.

Ford should take the offer. It'll be a good pension plan. Next, They'll try to sign the bloated carrie fischer. That'll be interesting. The one is old and grumpy, while the other is fat and bloated. I think they will make a nice couple.

I wished they would have been able to use the Darth Maul character in these next films

He was so poorly used in the first of the recent films; I think he would have made a great character for these 3 films

Surprisingly? Ford ain't starred in a decent film since 97, Fisher since 91 and Hamill looked in the mirror after Return Of The Jedi and thought "f*cking hell I'm an ugly c*nt, better stick to cartoons!" This isn't a surprise at all.

Chewy will ok, Carrie will have to hide half of herself behind a large object, The other 3 will be CGI upped to the max, Still it won't be as bad as Episode 1.

Nathan Fillion would be a good choice, but he already did his Han Solo rip-off in Whedon's rather unoriginal Firefly and Serenity.

Having said that, none of these people are coming back, and Disney doesn't have the same attachment to them that Lucas might, so there's no sentimental nostalgia at Disney like there might be over at ILM. Nothing but hard-nosed people who will only put any of them in the film if, and only if, there's a profitable reason to do so.

Personally, they should be recast, obviously. Ford is downright ancient, Fisher looks like Elton John and Hamill has a face made for scaring children on Halloween.

i wouldn't mind all the originals coming back lol Hell why not! It's them who made the characters popular, give em a chance

It'll be a small role if anything.

Geriatric Wars should be the name of this trilogy.

A bit of a kick to the balls of rich Lucas wouldn't one think? Harrison has said for decades he'd never be Solo again. Now (if this source is accurate), AFTER Lucas let's go of the reins of Star Wars, Ford is interested again?

lol. Nice.

Excited for all three to return. I'm a Ford fan (actor not the car) and he can always geriatric shoot in my eye.

Fisher, hmm. I think with a 3 picture deal, she will loose the weight, get surgery, and turn back to hot. Then snort the paycheck and return to Jabba the hut.

Hamill- he's fugly. But maybe with makeup, he may pull it off.
