Guillermo Del Toro Making DC Comics Super-Team Movie "Heaven Sent"

Guillermo Del Toro Making DC Comics Super-Team Movie "Heaven Sent"Submit Comment
During the majority of his interviews, Guillermo Del Toro mentions his love for monsters. And now that Warner Bros is pleased with his new "Pacific Rim" film, they have decided to give him a blank check to make any movie he wants. He obviously chose a monster movie.

It's called "Heaven Sent" and combines all the magical characters from DC Comics, including Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, Sargon and Etrigan the Demon.

The goal is to make a big-budget film similar to "The Avengers" or "Justice League of America." Before "Heaven Sent" can be greenlit, LatinoReview points out that Warner Bros will take some time to figure out all the legalities behind a film like that.

Cool. del Toro Unmade Film Project #3225.

I'm going to need a mafia bookie's loan ledger just to keep track of all the sh*t this guy wants to make.

'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2' more like amIright?

Also, DC has done so well carrying solo films that they decided to sh*t on a handful of potential franchise characters all at once this time? Great.

this is actually Awesome because its an awesome way of giving a push to all the dlist Dc characters of the dcu u with out risking a flop on solo charactersthat dont need a solo film!

I've heard of putting all your eggs in one basket, but all your turds in one toilet?

I prefer to spread mine around. On the walls.

Isn't Keanu, Constantine? I was fairly positive he was human.

This guy has 800 projects in the words.

Finish "Hellboy" trilogy while Ron Perlman is still able to walk straight and haven't escaped to the jungle land of his uncle.

This sounds stupid. The majority of the movie going public has never heard of 75%-80% of these monsters. Besides monster movies Have not been all that successful since the 50's. Godzilla anyone?? I get that deltoro has some talent but this movie will bomb. It's a virtual certainty. It's only a matter of time until this becomes another shelved movie on del Toro's "back burner". No way this gets made in any way shape or form unless it's low budget, straight to vhs and animated.

@dirt yeah Keaun was constantine it would be cool if they Bring Keaunu back as Constantine for this Movie!

Wow. What a bunch of f*cking dumb asses. "Oh sh*t a movie has a supporting cast I don't know", therefore it's stupid. "Not for the lowest common denominator, then it's not for me". Like you f*cks knew who Hawkeye was or Black Widow before Iron Man or the Avengers. This sound bad ass. DC using the dark corners of their universe with a director who does dark well. If this ever gets made of the stupid whiners that have know idea why this would will rock (Alan f*cking Moore you f*cks) will be wearing the T-shirts. f*cking idiots!

NO NO NO. Guillermo Del Toro needs to do a Swamp Thing or Animal Man movie based on the New 52 story arcs (They're interconnected, and easily some of the most intriguing comics on DC's line up right now, highly suggest looking into, as long as you're okay with wordy comics.)

f*ck all these trolls rising from the fecal mire that seem to have mini-strokes when trying to compose what they think is a sentence.

As for the article, I thought that because of what Ron Perlman did for that little boy with cancer by going full Hellboy makeup for him that it inspired Del Toro to finally make Hellboy III: Son of Hellboy. I thought this would happen after he finished his post-production work on Pacific RimJob, sure to be JB's fave flick of the Summer!

DT is supposedly only co-directing that Pinnochio stop-motion movie and it's sort of like how Tim Burton was involved in Nightmare Before Xmas.

This movie sounds lame and I would rather see a sequel or reboot of Constantine/Hellblazer or a solo The Spectre film. I always thought that Guy Pearce would make a perfect The Spectre in a film.
Frank_Castle writes:
on November 3rd, 2012 at 3:38:39 AM

I was sold on The Spectre already. Liked his role on Alex Ross' KINGDOM COME.

Then theres Etrigan the Demon, Zatanna, and Phantom Stranger. Characters Im only familiar with from their roles in Batman TAS and Justice League Unlimited

AND then my excitement starts when reading Constantine Hellblazer. Thats the Keanu Reeves character John Constantine.

Those are all characters Im interested in seeing on the big screen with the same spirit as the Justice League Unlimited I hope. AND Im sure nothing can go wrong with this film if Guillermo is directing unless WARNER f*cks up with JUSTICE LEAGUE which I think is a bad idea to make at the moment.
