Bryan Singer to Direct "X-Men: First Class" SequelPosted: October 31st, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
A few days ago we heard that director Matthew Vaughn dropped out of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the sequel to "X-Men: First Class." 20th Century Fox has been in a hurry to replace him, even approaching Bryan Singer (X-Men, X2) to direct the new movie. Now comes word that Singer has accepted the job. Vaughn will stay on as producer.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" has Kitty Pryde sending her mind back to her younger self in order to warn the X-Men that Senator Robert Kelly's assassination will result in a future where Sentinels rule the United States and mutants live in internment camps.
The new movie will begin shooting in January of 2013, and will then hit theaters on July 18th, 2014.

whoa, the director that started it all, smells like an improvement from first class, looks like an Oscar Wilde approach to it, I don't understand but sounds good to me.

If only Bryan Singer could send his brain back in time and tell himself to not make that Superman sh*tfest and direct X Men 3 instead.
Hopefully this is the X Men we'll deserve. Singer is an ensemble piece director.

i re watched x men 1-2 recently, other than the nightcrawler opening, they are crap, boring, how can a film about super powered mutants be boring, an its great to have great story, but they just sucked, an im a huge comic fan, x3 was terrible, has anyone seen "jumper" not a great film, but all they had were teleporters, an the action was loads loads loads better than x men. he ruined x men, then ruined superman, now hes coming back to destroy x men again, stay away from BSG an do something else, singer you suck!!!!

Just hope he does a better job than Ridley Scott when they brought him back to the Alien series. Prometheus....still probably the biggest cinematic disappointment ever!

The last time Singer made a good movie was 2003 with X2.

Agreed with those who say X-Men 1 and 2 were boring as hell. They were. Dude took a Marvel action comic and turned it into a soap opera with set pieces. Well made, sure. Singer makes well-made movies, but they're too slow, too ponderous and talky.
His action is slow, and his drama isn't intense enough.
Terrible news.

The Devil has been very busy this week.
Him and I will have to have a chat next time I catch him in the break room eating his (yes, he calls them 'his'!) ham and eggs.

X-Men movies always had great casting (aside from Vinnie Jones), but mediocre execution. They don't hold up well - one of those movies that already look kinda "retro" despite that they were made 10 years ago.

Well there goes any chance this will be good. Singer f*cks up superhero movies... X1 and X2 were not that good... For the time they were good because of the infancy of the taking superhero movies seriously by mainstream and Hollywood...

Singer's made a pile of dough being a producer on House MD. Let's see if he can hold off AIDS long enough to do a decent job with this.

If this were a Skyfall thread... I'd be on topic. But it's not, so I'm not.
A lady friend of mine (petite, Vietnamese) was Googling some stuff on the new Skyfall movie. She saw my pic come up (I don't know why... I may not be in the movie). And she found some more out about me, that seemed to turn her crank.
I short... I'm going to f*ck the sh*t outta her.
Have a nice day.

x1 and x2 were way better than x3 and wolverine and first class
now comes word that singer is back and everyone assumes its a bad idea, just because of singer's adaption of superman?
one minute guys on here say that x3.wolverine were sh*t and first class was ok...now that must mean that x1 and x2 were better...or at the least on par
logical arguments??? yeah dont think so
bring on singer i say...get it back to what it was with the first 2
rattner f*cked it up...wood f*cked it up and vaughn couldnt do sh*t with what he had

Usual Suspects is a movie that gets worst the more you watch it. Apt. Pupil is only good for its acting. The only good thing about Valkyrie was its ability to build suspense, X1 and X2 would be good if they weren't X-men movies, If it was called something else entirely then yes both would be very Different films.
SInger is a terrible director who has some talent behind the camera but also has brilliant Ideas. You are Wrong to think Nobody Wants Singer because of Superman Returns. Nobody Wants Singer because he is a sh*t Director.
