"Oldboy" Remake Gets Plot Synopsis and Release DatePosted: October 21st, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
FilmDistrict has unveiled the official plot synopsis and release date for the upcoming "Oldboy" remake, which is directed by big-time *sshole Spike Lee and stars Josh Brolin, Sharlto Copley and Elizabeth Olsen.
Plot: The story follows an advertising executive (Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor's motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment, only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Olsen) and ultimately to an elusive man (Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.
The new movie is set to hit theaters on October 11th, 2013.

Alex, can you also start putting "c*cksucker" in front of Michael Bay's name in all future stories? That *sshole Spike Lee needs a companion. Thanks.

Well, Inside Man was actually pretty cool movie! But if this remake tries to be la the Korean film, then it's actually doomed. It'll better be more faithful to the source material (manga) than the Chan Wook Park version out of it.
