"Taken 2" and "Argo" Top Box Office WeekendSubmit Comment
"Taken 2" took first place at the domestic box office for the second weekend in a row, adding another $22 million to its worldwide total of $219 million. The film cost only $45 million to make, but has a lousy 21% fresh rating.

Out of the four new wide releases, Ben Affleck's "Argo" came out on top by taking second place with $20.1 million. The film cost $44 million and is on its way to becoming profitable. It also has an impressive 94% fresh rating, and is already considered a possible Oscar contender.

Ethan Hawke's "Sinister" horror film landed in third place with $18.3 million. It is the most profitable film of the weekend, since it cost only $3 million to make. It has a 63% fresh rating.

Kevin James' "Here Comes the Boom" comedy took fifth place with $12 million, which is less than expected. The film has a 44% fresh rating. And "Seven Psychopaths," starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walker, took ninth place with a disappointing $4.3 million. It was a favorite at film festivals and has a 84% fresh rating.

Meanwhile, the second part of "Atlas Shrugged" was released on only 1,000 screens and grossed $1.7 million, which was only good enough for eleventh place. The film has a 0% fresh rating, with some critics complaining about the quality of the movie and others trashing the film for its Libertarian message.

Taken 2 could have been much better if the bad guys would have killed famke jansen in the beginning.

Saw argo last night. Really good. Its overall on par with afflecks The Town but more drama and less action this time around. The performence's all around are superb. I would argue however that the supporting players all outweigh afflecks performence. Now thats not because ben did a bad job, far from it. All im saying is this is not afflecks best performence(still The Town). Goodman and arkin have great chemistry and give a much needed comedic element to lighten the mood. Bryan cranston turns in what i believe is his best performence to date even though its only supporting here. He literally chews his way through each scene he was that good. Also the entire ensemble of actors portraying the americans in hiding all provide entirely engaging and believeable performences, especially duvall. The pacing was good, cinematography was top notch. Affleck is by far a better director than actor, and this movie should settle that argument for good. I say it is deserving of oscar nominations for several actors(cranston and arkin for supporting actor specificly) and director as well as technical awards. Im gonna say best picture snub however. Its a lock for adapted screenplay though. Its one of the few must see's of the year for me because there is just so much done right here. Highly recommend people

Good work VINCE
From Seinfeld,Malcome in the Middle to Breaking Bad,30Rock and Argo;Cranston is one of this generations most versatile character actors.
Too bad he doesnt age well but that just adds to his character
Arkin is just legendary and glad Afflec had the wisdom to cast him
Goodman always gives a soulful performance.
Hes come a long way since King Ralph

If he got fired, and then she ate in the hotel restaurant afterwards, odds are someone used her toast as a taint wipe. Or a housekeeper used her toothbrush to scrub the toilet.
