"Fantastic Four" and "X-Men" Movies to Take Place in "The Avengers" World

"Fantastic Four" and "X-Men" Movies to Take Place in "The Avengers" WorldSubmit Comment
We recently reported that 20th Century Fox hired Mark Millar, the creator of "Kick-Ass" and "Wanted" comic books, to help bring the studio's upcoming Marvel films to the big screen. Millar won't be directing anything. Instead, he was brought on as a consultant.

Now, in an interview with SFX, Millar revealed that his plan is to have all the Marvel characters exist in the same world, despite the fact that different studios have rights to different characters.

"It would be cool if these universes didn't contradict each other," he explained. "So if you went to see Spidey, The Avengers, the X-Men, etc, as a viewer you would have no idea that all three are coming from different studios. I'd love to make it look like they're all just happening in one place."

Good luck, Millar.

Ok, how hard is that? Marvel universe operates in real cities (unlike DC Gotham and Metropolis), so why would there be anything holding this back? Just add mutants to each film and you're done.

sounds like a disaster in the making

This better NOT happen! SPIDER-MAN is the only good Marvel hero and the X-MEN, FANTASTIC FOUR and yes....THE GAYVENGERS all suck!!!! Let them live in their own studios for f*ck sakes! >:-(

"sounds like a disaster in the making"

It sounds like an opportunity. Wolverine is already fighting The HAND in his next movie when now The Hand is owned by MARVEL. So why not.

1 st thing- I'm already sick of that f*cking Thin Man roll over!!!
2nd- I really wouldn't wanna see mutants in an already established movie world.

That can only be happen if FOX is willing to kiss marvel's ass.

Uh...how is it then that none of them know about each other?

After all, X Men is the most global out of all of them (mutation is a universal issue).

Good luck with that..dare to dream Millar.

Misleading headline.
Just Millars wish full thinking at the moment.

Rocketman is right. Why is this website reporting this like it's a fact? Since when does someone saying "it would be cool" make it a fact that it is happening?

WHO CARES????

XMEN SUCKED, FANTASTIC FOUR SUCKED, AND AVENGERS SUCKED! SERIOUSLY, ANYONE GIVES A sh*t AT THIS POINT?

BRING BACK THE TOPIC OF LINDSAY LOHAN AND AMANDA BYNES, SO I CAN MAKE FUN ABOUT I THINK THEY SHOULD GO INTO PORN, AND THEN DIE.

The regular viewer has NO idea they are from different studios. For them they are Marvel characters, the Marvel logo is shown in the beginning, it's a Marvel film even though a film based on a Marvel comic book is not a Marvel (studio) film aka a Disney film.

Millar is just a Consultant. He can f*cking wish all he wants but good luck making that happen. Pornfly has more of a chance getting his cotton candy fantasy to become a reality. Best for Marvel to slowly get back all their characters then develop whatever crossovers they need to their own creative ways. Marvel has already seen the return of Daredevil.

Whether or not it happens, it's the smartest thing for Marvel. Gives them a hell of a lot more pieces on which to build films, if they want to keep people interested and avoid stagnation...

hmmm...and i thought Obama got it tough.

but, i dunno..guess with Avengers' HUGE worldwide success, both fox and sony would be a lot LESS uncooperative with Marvel, now, as they're eyeing that piece of the cash pie.
