Constantin Film has unveiled a teaser trailer for the company's upcoming 3D "Tarzan" film, featuring performances by Kellan Lutz (Twilight) as the title character and Spencer Locke (Resident Evil) As Jane. Check it out below. Plot: Tarzan and Jane Porter face a mercenary army dispatched by the evil CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan's parents, after they died in a plane crash. "Tarzan" is directed by Reinhard Kloos and will hit German theaters next summer. A US release has yet to be set.

In all fairness the jungle enviornments do look impressive, as does the actual motion capturing, but the facial animation is too plain and the whole tone of the movie just feels like a retread of Avatar and Disney’s Tarzan mixed together (two films I never cared for anyways), with the same, safe Hallmark greeting card feel to it.
It all just comes across rather vanila.
