Director JJ Abrams Unveils First "Star Trek 2" Footage Posted: October 5th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Director JJ Abrams appeared on "Conan" and brought the first clip from the upcoming "Star Trek" sequel, called "Star Trek Into Darkness." The scene revolves around Zachary Quinto's Spock character in a volcano, but unfortunately, the entire footage is only three frames long. Abrams claims that Paramount Pictures only allowed him to bring three frames from the movie since it's still being worked on. Conan O'Brien replied that fans of the franchise will still be excited and likely study those three frames. Watch the entire appearance below. "Star Trek Into Darkness" co-stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Simon Pegg. It's set to hit theaters on May 17th, 2013.

Uh. Three frames? That's not footage. That's three frames. That's 1/8th a second. That's three f*cking screen shots. You can't even SEE three frames.
Oh. I get it. The duration. Three frames, each held several seconds. Basically like some terrible Youtube 'video'.
"Yup Spock is a flaming Homo...."
Regardless, I'm sure Dark and JB really dig Quinto's volcanic eruptions and hot lava flows.

Donít care. The first film was Skittles flavored Michael Bay Star Trek for todayís iphone generation. Iíve yet to see anything from Abrams that leads me to think he is anything more than a slick huckster and a Spielberg jerk-off.
