"We Need to Talk About Kevin" Director to Helm "Moby Dick" in SpaceSubmit Comment
"We Need to Talk About Kevin" director Lynne Ramsay and her "Kevin" co-writer Rory Kennear are developing a new film called "Mobius," which is a sci-fi project inspired by Herman Melville's 1851 classic "Moby Dick."

In "Mobius," described as psychological action thriller set in deep space, a captain consumed by revenge takes his crew on a death mission fueled by his own ego and will to control an enigmatic alien.

The film is already financed, but no word when Ramsay will begin shooting.

"We need to talk about Kevin" is one of those movie when you just sit and think "WHY?!"

Actors did a good job, but art-house for the ske of it being art-house makes for some of the most useless, most pretentious movies this side of De Niro.

This seems awesome. Kevin was also a fantastic movie so I'm sure this guy could pull it off

This sh*t was done in Doctor Who not so long ago.
Big f*ck off whale in space, which is actually the engine for some ship protecting humanity.
minkowski writes:

It's not a whale in space, it's a...space monster in space, and the captain of some space ship has a vengeance thing, which means the film probably won't have the moral of Melville's novel.

Could be good in the hands of someone intelligent.

This was a Futurama episode, so now Hollywood is turning to Comedy Central/Cartoon Network for it's movie ideas huh?
