Daniel Radcliffe Wants to Hunchback Role in "Frankenstein" Movie

Daniel Radcliffe Wants to Hunchback Role in "Frankenstein" MovieSubmit Comment
Daniel Radcliffe is working hard to make sure he has an acting career after "Harry Potter." He recently starred in "The Woman in Black" and is now interested in playing the Hunchback in a new "Frankenstein" movie.

20th Century Fox is developing the untitled film, which is written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and will be directed by Paul McGuigan (Push, Lucky Number Slevin).

The script puts a sci-fi spin on the classic Mary Shelley story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment. The Hunchback is described as pathologically dirty and dressed in old clown clothing.

Ron Perlman is the perfect natural hunchback not this dwarf!

Nah Perlman's more like a real life Frankenstein (the monster).

"the script put a sci-fi spin on the classic Mary Shelley story"

Ummm I need a little more specifics considering Frankenstein was already a sci-fi story.

I bet he'll take anything offered to him. Ever since Harry Potter ended, nobody really cares about him anymore. He's just trying his hardest to stay relevant.

I think Bullit would make a wonderful hunchback ! Hang on ...... He already is one.

This just in: Daniel Radcliffe and Shia Lebouf to have actual sex with each other onscreen in a remake of Tango & Cash.

Oooh WOW! I feel so insulted now. What am I gonna do with my life now after this? Another village is deprived fom its buffoon! Pathetic Wanker!

Shia could never star on a remake of a film that previously had Jack Palance in it.

Frankenstein didn't have a f*cking hunchback, you stupid motherf*cker.

What's next, a hard rock entourage for the next Dracula remake?

@Rambo - LOL classic. "He said a dirty word!"

Could this could be a remake of Young Frankenstein which may feature a more prominent role for Igor the Hunchback Assistant to Dr. Frankenstein? Now if they intend on transforming the Hunchback into Frankenstein Monster well that's a whole different ballgame. And Mink's "stupid motherf*ckers" remark is about right.

Speaking of pathologically dirty and dressed in old clown clothing...recently saw The Last Circus (Spain 2010). Those were some f*cked up clowns.

However, if he were sexually dirty instead then I would watch it

"a sci-fi spin on the classic!?!?!?!?" That's the most unforgivably STUPID comment I've heard in the past ten years. Shelley's book is considered by 99% of literary scholars to be the birth of the science fiction genre for Christ's sake!
Stapes writes:

How can you put a sci-fi spin on what created sci-fi to begin with????
minkowski writes:

I like how people, such as Brian Aldiss, consider Mary Shelley's Frankenstein early science fiction, just to throw a woman a politically-correct bone, even though by the formal title, A Modern Prometheus, the story is obviously Gothic reinvention of the tale of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods, the fire in this case being life through lightning.

Do a google search for "frankenstein not science fiction".
