JK Rowling May Write More "Harry Potter" Books

JK Rowling May Write More "Harry Potter" BooksSubmit Comment
While promoting her new book "The Casual Vacancy," author JK Rowling revealed that she's not currently planning to write any more "Harry Potter" books, but admitted that she would consider continuing the franchise if there was an idea worth exploring.

"If I had a fabulous idea that came out of that world, because I loved writing it, I would do it. But I've got to have a great idea," she said. Warner Bros would be more than happy to push her in that direction, since the studio lost a movie franchise that was consistently bringing in over $1 billion with each film.

Rowling added that she would also love to go back and rewrite some of her earlier "Potter" books. "I definitely knew that they needed another year, but I had to write on the run and there were times when it was really tough," she said. "I read them, and I think 'Oh God, maybe I'll go back and do a director's cut.'"

Rewrite your earlier Potter books? If that happens, I foresee a whole legion of simpleton fans whining how "JK Rowling raped my childhood."

Ahhh... George Lucas was in this exact same position. Caught off guard by success. Then had to crank out the work. I don't care what anyone says, it's an 'age thing'... the youngins on here will mostly prefer George's 2nd trilogy (Parts 1-3), whereas I prefer the original, REAL first trilogy (4-6). Rowling has the talent clearly. Question is whether it's been all used up. And I'd nail so hard she wouldn't sh*t straight for a week!

With all that money Ranger?

I'm guessing better still, you'd have her sh*tting coins like a Vegas slot machine for a week, no?

LOL. Cheers mate...

Jo Rowling is a decent author... I like the HP books. Solid kid-lit, well written, easy to read... a cut above most of the dogsh*t out there for kids. Assuming she kept up her standards and didn't phone it in, I would welcome more to the franchise, even if her reason was that she was cashing a big fat paycheck.

yea.. I wasn't the biggest fan of harry potter, never read any of the books, But Re-Doing a book? That's kinda dumb.. lol

and Don't Make anymore, god everyone calls these some of the greatest books ever made, Don't f*ck up the title given to you by adding in more! It only takes one f*ck up for people to call a franchise or series sh*t.

Bitch writes trash for morons, and then WB turns that trash into cinematic bullsh*t for retards. Of course she'll write some more, and if not, she'll get a really slamming exclusive on whatever new sh*t she sh*ts out.

Minkowski: yeah, everyone, listen to the child molester. He knows all about writing, and reading, and art.

Mink, for the last time, your idiotic views are not welcome here.

You suck at life, Mink. And furthermore, you suck as a critic of art.
