How Does "The Wolverine" Fit Into the "X-Men" Franchise?

How Does "The Wolverine" Fit Into the "X-Men" Franchise?Submit Comment
Hugh Jackman recently said that "The Wolverine" will be a standalone movie. But according to a new set photo, the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning will somehow be involved with the film. Check out the photo below.

In the comic books, Wolverine formed the school in honor of Jean Grey. Wolverine is its headmaster, Kitty Pryde is the headmistress and Beast is the vice-principal. The senior staff includes Gambit, Rogue, Iceman and Rachel Summers.

In 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" franchise, the new school would have to be created after the events in "X-Men: The Last Stand," in which Jean and Cyclops died and Xavier transferred his mind into his brain-dead brother. It seems that "The Wolverine" will tie the events of "X-Men 3" with the upcoming "X-Men: First Class" sequel, which is called "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and features Kitty Pryde as one of the main characters.

Question: How do the X-Men films fit into filmmaking or the comic books?

Answer: They don't. Each one is the proverbial sh*t in the punch bowl of film and comic book adaptions.

A sequel to the prequel tied to the sequel of a prequel of a trilogy?

Has anyone here seen Real Steele? Is it as sh*tty as it looks?

Well that photo is way off the mark, that logo is always the floor in the pool area at fox studios, its only a coincadence

So where did Wolverine get the $'s to start up this school... wrestling money he saved on the side?

This will be worse than Origins.
Feanor224 writes:

@ ollos1986

Well...that's a pretty big f*cking coincidence considering it's the EXACT same logo and the photo comes from a studio lot, not from a pool area. How do you know the logo?? Do you work in Fox Studios?

Janus writes:

Besides the prequel X-Men: Days of Future Past FOX is also working on a the sequel X-Men 4. Bryan Singer is supposed to direct again. If they do the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning, it's a possible sign they continued developing X-Men 4.

Please, for god's sake, whatever god you worship, give the property BACK to Marvel and let them REBOOT the entire f*cking thing.

It's the ONLY way X-Men can be given the film series it has earned over the decades, because god knows FOX doesn't do anything but f*ck up almost anything they're given.
Rambo writes:

You're right hellsingfan we shouldn't bash this movie for being retarded until we pay $10 a ticket like retards to watch it. I mean how do we know for sure it's gonna be retarded? Just because the last five retarded attempts were retarded? Because they hired retards to write a retarded script? Because a retarded movie studio with a track record of putting out retarded movies is producing it? Because the retarded actors in these movies are getting so old that we're starting to worry about alzheimers and early onset dementia? We're obviously way off the mark, ain't we?
FBO writes:

In related news, we're about to be sued by the ACLU and the retard defamation association or whatever the large legal group of retards in this nation is called for how many times I said "retard" in that last post
FBO writes:

OK i looked it up, turns out the ACLU is the name for a large legal group of retards. Also; political parties, Hollywood, the White House, eternal welfare recipients, and Congress.

For sh*ts sake if .... and that's a BIG IF , if they can pull this off i hope that we could get a rouge directors cut and have it all fit together . But it's never gonna happen . And the f*ck Cyclops died , they never shown a body , just glasses . Also Xavier transferred his conscientiousness to his brother ? Um ok ? They are gonna f*ck it up aren't they ? :(

@ Feanor224
i have worked there before and it called the pool area, they use it for all water scenes in movies, and it you look at the photo again there is a WELL why would they put the logo down before putting scaffolding on top of it.
