Real "30 Minutes or Less" Events to Become a Movie

Real "30 Minutes or Less" Events to Become a MovieSubmit Comment
Back in 2003, a 46-year-old pizza delivery man Brian Wells died when a bomb strapped around his neck exploded after he was forced to rob a bank. Then in 2011, Columbia Pictures released "30 Minutes or Less," a comedy that seemed to mock the tragic event.

The studio claimed that neither the filmmakers or the stars of the movie were aware of Wells before getting involved in the film. Obviously that was a lie since the story was reported by every major media outlet.

Now comes word that the real story of Wells will be told in a new movie, based on the book "Pizza Bomber: The Untold Story of America's Most Shocking Bank Robbery." At this point, the film is being called "Collar Bomb Heist."

For those who don't remember the 2003 events... Wells entered a bank and told the teller he'd been shackled with an explosive device around his neck and forced to pull off a heist. The bomb went off as Wells exited, killing him instantly. During the investigation, FBI discovered that Wells was a co-conspirator, but unaware that he would be wearing a real bomb. The mastermind of the intricate plot was Marjorie Diehl Armstrong who is currently serving life in prison.

30 Minutes or Less was one of the worst films I saw last year. A comedy that was not funny at all. And the ending seemed liked the director said "f*ck it, I know this is sh*t, I'm tired of filming". Just awful from every angle.

I agree with you halfway.Danny Mcbride was hilarious though.Fred Ward is still a tough guy at his 60s.but yea that's about it though

@bando. I usually like McBride, but thought he was wasted in this. I did find the scenes with Ward and Pena funny though.

to me Mcbride is a one trick pony.but he does a good job on it.He's like the scene stealer in every sh*tty movie.Even in that Due Date cameo he owned.

but that Quickie mart arab or hindu kid really gets on my f*cking nerves.he's like the live action version of the parrot in Aladdin. How he got famous and made it in Hollywood is beyond me.

good one mink.

Movie made me giggle, kinda Tragic for Wells, But still, how do you let someone strap a bomb to you..
minkowski writes:

^^IIRC, he went along with it because the other conspirators told him the bomb was fake. When Wells determined it was in fact a real bomb, he tried to get out of his rather explosive role, until one of the others pulled a gun and told him to either wear the bomb or eat the bullet.
