"The Matrix" Directors in Talks to Direct "Justice League of America"?

"The Matrix" Directors in Talks to Direct "Justice League of America"?Submit Comment
Warner Bros is moving forward with a "Justice League of America" movie and has been looking for a director to tackle the big-budget superhero film. Just recently, Ben Affleck was rumored to be that person, since he made some money for the studio with "The Town."

Now comes word that the Wachowskis are also being considered. Not only did the siblings create "The Matrix," a very lucrative superhero-type franchise for Warners, but the duo also impressed the studio with their upcoming "Cloud Atlas" film.

"Cloud Atlas" has an immense ensemble cast, comprised of Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Hugh Grant, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, Ben Whishaw, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, James D'Arcy. Handling so much talent in one movie tells Warner Bros that the Wachowskis have what it takes to handle "Justice League" and all of its heroes (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash).

Back in 2009, the Wachowskis were also rumored to direct the "Superman" reboot, but the job eventually went to Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300).

As long as they bring back the visuals and action of the Matrix flicks and V for Vendetta and forget about all the gay sh*t they've been doing lately.

Cloud Atlas looks promising, but cheesy as f*ck.

Lana Wachowski can play "I Wonder if she's a Woman"

If they gonna make this like they did with Speed Racer, I guarantee you that FAILURE is going to happen.

The Wachowski's Brother and 'sister' sex tape, I'm sure is sitting in a safe somewhere.

'Oh sister... it's a lot less creepy f*cking you in the ass now that you have tits!'

They didn't create the Matrix. They stole the idea from a woman who sued and got tons of money. They are frauds and their Justice League movie will fail unless they steal that idea as well.

"Cloud Atlas" has an immense ensemble cast..." --- I noticed that David Carradine isn't amongst those listed (because he hung himself in a closet with his balls tied-up).

The Wachowskis have always had ambitious movie goals...some panned out & others just panned...

If someone were going to pull off some ballsy move like that, it would be them with their visuals as seen in THE MATRIX....having said that, the devil is in the details & their weakness, like so many, are in their plots.

Wanted to say something sharp on topic...

After remembering about Wachowski's family 'affair' decided to visit Thai salon instead.

Wachowski's could be an inspiring choice for this movie, but the movie's success will fall largely on WBs set-up into the movie. The Avengers was not solely successful on Joss Whedon's love for comics alone, but on Marvel's detailed dedication to the build-up of all the characters. WB needs to make sure they have a decent plan set in motion before they just throw Justice League at us. However, with all this talk recently about the Justice League movie alone and nothing on the actual superheroes and how they are to be incorporated into this movie, I will reserve my right to be skeptical and pessimistic.

Alex, filling up space on your website? With bullsh*t articles... TSK. I mean in all reality why don't we just create an article every other day that outlines a new set of director('s) rumored to be making this film.

I don't ever see this film happening. If Superman peforms amazingly well, I will think differently. Until then, this is a pipe dream for WB.

That's an absolute lie.

Stewart's case was dismissed in June 2005 when she failed to show up for a preliminary hearing of her case. In a 53-page ruling, Judge Margaret Morrow of the Central District Court of California dismissed the suit, saying Stewart and her attorneys had not entered any evidence to bolster its key claims or demonstrated any striking similarity between her work and the accused directors' films. As of this writing, Stewart's case is no longer before the courts. She has announced that she does not plan to let the matter drop, so possibly this case could someday be re-filed and heard, but for now it is over.

What did happen is the Brothers 'borrowed' their ideas directly from a hundred sources, e.g., William Gibson and Neal Stephenson.

As long as Samuel is in the end credit scene...Just too bad Ted Knight can't do the narrations.
