"Do a reboot with The Rock and Vin Diesel. Obvious."
YEA RIGHT not in this lifetime.those so called action stars are a bunch of pompous DIVAS.
maybe John Cena,Steve Austin.
Regeneration was really surprising. That Pittbull Arlovsky guy is one mean mothaf*cka. Even Van Damme did a good Job.

Van Damme's character in this movie reminds me of Brando's character in Apocalypse Now.

Looking forward to this one. They've been sitting on this film for a little while, waiting to try and capitalize on The Expendables 2 hype.
Universal Soldier: Regeneration is one of my favorite no bullsh*t, brutal and in your face action films that I've seen in some time. John Hyams Regeneration is why Day Of Reckoning was even made.
This 4th film being shot in 3D is something I don't care for, but if this is what's helping it get a limited theatrical release... then so be it.

John Hyams also directed the action movie with CUng Le called Dragon Eyes and Scott Adkin's El Gringo.

@Bando - yeah I thought the same thing especially with the journey down the jungle river, Van Damme's clean shaven head and his cult like demeanor. I'm sure its deliberate as a nod to a greater film and actor like Brando.

Holy crap, even that still frame of Van Damme shown before starting up the video looks strangely like Apocalypse Brando. Maybe this is the Van Damme to come and he will pork out in real life. Maybe this will improve his acting too.
