  Universal Pictures has unveiled the first official photos from Ron Howard's upcoming "Rush," starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor) as Formula 1 racer James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl (Inglourious Basterds) as Niki Lauda. Check out the photos below.
Plot: A biography of Formula 1 champion driver Niki Lauda and the 1976 crash that almost claimed his life. Mere weeks after the accident, he got behind the wheel to challenge his rival, James Hunt.
Howard is the man behind such films as "The Da Vinci Code," "Cinderella Man," and "A Beautiful Mind." The script is by Peter Morgan (The Last King of Scotland, The Queen, Frost/Nixon). "Rush" is set to hit theaters on September 20th, 2013.

Howard better not tarnishes Lauda's legendary achievement by making a sh*tty movie about Lauda-Hunt rivalry. Both of them are F1 legends.

Save yourself the time and just watch Senna instead. Truly a perfect doc*mentary about one of F1's greatest champions and biggest tragedies. Beware one scene might be a little ruff for the faint of heart.

^ ^ I watched it twice and it's the best doc*mentary about the best F1 driver of all time along with Juan Manuel Fangio. History would have been totally different for M. Schumacher if Senna had survived that.
And Alain Prost is still a prick!

Nigel Mansell was my fav. growing up, as was Senna. I wasn't watching much during Michael Schumacher's days (although his accomplishments are undeniable).
And let's not forget Gilles Villevenue.

@Ranger: Absolutely, RIP Gilles.
Nigel Mansell was a spoiled brat. One too often, he complained again about his car and Williams was so fed up with him that he fired him on the spot, during the race. Senna never complained, he worked hard with the engineers & mechanics while the others were playing golf!

Always liked Mansell (yeah he was a pain in the arse), But going to America and driving for the Newman/Haas Racing team for a couple of years was pretty darn cool if you ask me.

@sac, bullit
"Senna" is as close to a perfect doc*mentary as it gets. Hope you saw the long version, not the costrated one.
And that scene when Frank Williams looks up with tears in his eyes and even Prost (being a d*ck) eyes are watery and he looks visibly uncomfortable as Antonio Pinto's (brilliant) score kicks in.
Damn, even I shed a tear. He was a legend and a talent to behold. And what he did for the people of Brazil, less fortunate ones and how low-profile he kept it - legend and a good, good man.
