New Trailer for Bizarre "Branded" Sci-Fi FilmSubmit Comment
Today we have a full-length trailer for the upcoming "Branded" sci-fi movie, which stars Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, and Max Von Sydow. Check it out below.

Plot: A journey into a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive. One man's (Ed Stoppard) passion to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.

The movie, which Roadside Attractions compares to "They Live," is written and directed by marketing executives Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain. It is set to hit theaters on September 7th.

I KNEW that was Max Sydow and I don't even know who he is.

Creepy.

"is written and directed by marketing executives Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain"

How commercially cynical.

Still, an intriguing film. Too bad the CGI blows like Plastic.

They just HAVE to play this in the film

Well. The only semi-original film in the latest news batch, and I see there's ZERO interest...I guess all that talk about hating Hollywood's reboot mania and sequelitis was just talk, huh?

Oh look, they remade They Live!

This almost feels like a Cronenberg film. Especially with the need for media controllers to literally tap into the mind using flowing tentacles just to subvert our sub consciousness with a desire to drink more Coke. Max Von Sydow looks to be playing a similar role as he did in Minority Report. Somehow this dystopian movie seems clunky from the CGI which aggressively attack buildings like Transformers. Thus hard to take it too seriously and we probably won't get the mind f*ck we crave. Still its likely too early to tell.

I thought they'll never hire again the guy who did the special effects for 'the langoliers'

looks like pop vomit. Which would be awesome since it fits the premise except that it looks like FAKE pop vomit.

Doulerain is vice president of one of the major channels, not really a marketing executive. Though the channel is known for annoying marketing.

Plus he is a big movie buff and loves experimental cinema - so Cronenberg look doesn't surprise. What surprises me is how the managed to get this cast together.

It's not the worst trailer for this movie - CGI in the first one was much, much worse.

Looks like "They Live" with less wrestlers and punching. Kind of reminds me of something done by Richard Kelly.

Oh come on! It doesn't look THAT BAD!

It will most likely be worse and not as memorable as They Live.
