New "Ice Age 4" TV Spot Spoofs "The Dark Knight Rises" Posted: July 9th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
20th Century Fox is using the popularity of "The Dark Knight Rises" to promote it's fourth "Ice Age" movie by releasing a TV spot, called "The Dark Nut," that has Scrat acting like Batman. Check it out below. Plot: Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he's been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences -- a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these earth-shattering upheavals, Sid reunites with his long lost family, and the gang encounters new characters determined to stop them from returning home. The new movie is directed by Steve Martino (Horton Hears a Who) and Mike Thurmeier (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs), and is set to hit conventional and 3D theaters on July 13th.

I fail to see how that's anything like anything Batman, really, and more to the point, I take it we will never see the last of this sh*tty, visually repetitive franchise, which stopped being amusing to adults and most children three and a half films ago.

If 3D wasn't such a cash cow for the studios, these movies would be direct to DVD like the 30 or so Land Before Time sequels.
