"Guardians of the Galaxy" is Likely Marvel's Other Secret Film

Posted: June 28th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is Likely MarvelSubmit Comment
It's already believed that "Ant-Man" will be one of two secret films that Marvel is planning to develop and release before "The Avengers" hits theaters in 2015. Now comes word that the second film may just be "Guardians of the Galaxy," something that many Marvel executives have been hinting at.

According to LatinoReview, the new movie will be set in the future and feature the team fighting an evil race called the Badoom. They will then travel back in time and run into some of The Avengers superheroes.

The site says that Thanos, who appeared in "The Avengers" mid-credits scene, will also show up in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie, which will lead into "The Avengers 2." It's expected that "Guardians" will hit theaters on May 16th, 2014. More information will likely come during Comic-Con next month.

I'm excited for Avengers 2. I'd die with awesomeness if Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, and Ant-Man are in it. Black Panther and Ant-Man have to be there for sure

f*ck Masters of the Universe, I mean Guardians of the Galaxy. Ant Man can go to hell too. Bring out a Silver Surfer film instead. Or does Faux still own the rights to that sh*t?

The Avengers worked because of all the superheros (the important ones) had their own individual movie(s) first. Then all the fans collected to see The Avengers. I remember all of them from comics decades ago. Youngins were introduced to these characters by the movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy in their own movie straight out of the gate? Zzzzzz... I (think) I only know one character out of that group, Galactus.

Sort of on topic , but I am guessing that FF4 do not exist in this Marvel Universe since NYC was decimated in Avengers and they made no reference to their absence .... How can you drag in Thanos and not FF4 and / or Silver Surfer ? And really Guardians of what ?

i agree with ranger.

FF#2 failed (well... for several reasons). And I'm a comic whore from decades ago.

1. NO force on Earth could separate The Silver Surfer from his board.
2. The Surfer taking on Galactus at the end... LOLOLOL. Galactus would snuff the Surfer in a second.

But Jessica Alba in that tight FF outfit... with the bleeding nose every time she used her powers = BA-BOING!

IMO, the original GotG was one of the greatest Marvel comics of the early 90's. What made it so great was that they were able to tell stories that didn't have to run parallel to Marvels timeline at the time, so they were given free range to do whatever they wanted. I hope they make this movie.
