Warner Bros Wanted Leonardo DiCaprio as The Riddler in "The Dark Knight Rises"

Warner Bros Wanted Leonardo DiCaprio as The Riddler in "The Dark Knight Rises"Submit Comment
After "The Dark Knight" hit theaters and grossed over $1 billion, Warner Bros immediately started thinking about a third installment, which has become "The Dark Knight Rises."

While the plan was always to have director Christopher Nolan and writers David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan come up with the story, Warners executives had their own ideas about the direction of the new film.

According to Goyer, executives told him that the villain was "going to be The Riddler, and we want it to be Leonardo DiCaprio." But Nolan went in a different direction, casting almost every actor from "Inception," except for DiCaprio.

Goyer also spoke about the IMAX footage in "The Dark Knight Rises," stating: "more than a third of the film, one hour, was shot in IMAX." Does that mean that the film is around three hours long?

Bullsh*t. WB isn't going to tell Nolan who the villian is. And the last movie needs to present the biggest threat to Batman yet, mentally and physically. So no f*cking Riddler. If there were a Riddler...Michael C. Hall.

If one hour is MORE than one third of the film that would seem to imply that it's actually under three hours and not over. Thing will likely be 2 1/2 hours.

While it would be awesome to sit in an IMAX theater watching Batman and Bane duke it out for over 3 hours, I doubt it.

DiCaprio would have been good I think but it would have inflated his forehead more. f*cking dude has a giant forehead!!!

The Riddler probably would've come off too much like Joker in TDK. I'm glad they went with a villain who can physically kick Batman's ass.

Boogiel's right, Katie Perry's tits are amazin....oh I mean the Riddler is to close to the Joker. Sorry yall, his icon is way too distracting :)

Sorry, I can't see Leo as The Riddler. He may have the look, but I don't think he could do the part right.

Soo uhhhh no KillerCroc??
Its a shame when a porn spoof villain is more spot on than the actual movie
But i will continue my tradition of seeing Batman the first day

Alicia Silverstone should come back as Batgirl and regurgitate food into badguys' mouths
Ironically she doesnt swallow

I don't think the Riddler would've came off like the Joker, especially if Dicaprio played it.

The Riddler has an obsession with riddles where as the Joker in the film was all about Chaos. I'm so glad they didn't use the Joker doh. If they didn't go with Bane, I would've liked to see Hugo Strange

Nolan is dumb as f*ck, Leo would have been a better villain (f*ck the riddler) instead of Hardy as Bane.
