Trailer for "Arrow" TV Series, Based on Green Arrow Superhero Posted: May 18th, 2012 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
The CW has unveiled a teaser trailer for "Arrow," the upcoming TV series based on DC Comics' character Green Arrow. The new show stars Stephen Amell ("The Vampire Diaries," "90210") as Oliver Queen/Arrow and is set to air this fall on Wednesdays at 8pm. Plot: After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante - to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Add in a slutty and smokin hot Black Canary and you may have a show here.

why would anybody want a show show to air on the CW? The show will be cancelled in a week!!!

'Handsome' homeless dude shoots arrows into tennis balls. Cool (and entirely unrealistic) sequence, sure, but a cool television show it does not make.

Green Arrow vs Hawkeye. Make it happen.

This could work if, and only if, we get to see the Boxing Glove Arrow in the first episode.

Roids are good for the body

So is this or isn't this the Green Arrow from Smallville ? Wouldn't that had been the normal spin off chain of events for this ? I guess the CW ( WB ) is hoping for lighting to strike twice ?

This isn't going to work,
for two reasons
1.This character is not too popular
2.People will keep comparing this to Hawkeye

If that means we get to see Katie Cassidy in fishnets... I'm in. Amell is a pretty weak actor, too beefy.

Batman + Robin Hood = Green Arrow
Is that what they're doing now? Mixing superheroes' origins to make new ones? Meh.

They should of just waited a f*cking year and used Batman. A TV show set during the Year One Era would be great, but it'll never happen.
